Your rotary should have a float kit for your QH.

Not sure - got it at an auction. They had one like it at my local farm store for something like $799; the one they have now has swiveling attachments and looks to be set up standard Cat 1.

Got home too late for pics - will try again tomorrow.

Can you back the tractor with the QH up close to the rotary cutter and get a picture?

Your rotary should have a float kit for your QH.

Not all rotary cutter have a floating toplink.

Retread your posts , sounds like the easiest May be to move the uprights inside the bottom brackets and then to narrower the bushing on the top link. As long as you still have room for the hook it will not hurt to narrow the bushing.

Guys, sorry for the late response - my employer thought it best that I work away from home for the last few days. Took these pics of the cutter this evening.

countrybumpkin - tried moving the uprights inside, but could not get them back together at the top link. Wondering now if I could try again with a shorter bushing and let the flex connector swing between the rear stabilizers and the uprights? Do you think I could weld a tab to the back of the U shaped piece and let it mount/swivel from that point?

EDIT - Just saw the QH adapter from Harbor Freight and Agri Supply - wondering if this would solve my problem? I'm thinking I could move the uprights inside the brackets and still have plenty of room to mount this adapter.

Thanks

How wide are the uprights?

About 27 3/4" or so; with the shoulders on the pins, it puts the distance at about 28 1/4" I think I can gain over 1/2" by moving the uprights inside the brackets.

How wide is your quick hitch on the inside? (There is a little variation between manufacturers)

Haven't purchased yet - but the HF in the store measures to 27 1/2 inside to inside.

My idea won't work then:thumbdown:

I was going to suggest removing the bolt on pins and getting pins like this and welding them on to gain a little more clearance but it won't be enough.

I guess you are easiest option is to move the uprights to the inside and shorten the bushing like you were talking about.
