Thanks so much Tom. I've seen another home thread on here somewhere with a similar trim job.

Getting ready to start the vanity project for 1/2 bath at the entry. I've got the redwood slab shown earlier in the thread cut to fit the corner timber, sanded, and finished. I'm hoping to get it installed tonight or tomorrow.

That is a piece of wood. I love the grain. It has great color.

That grain is amazing! My wife and I have been following this thread, the house is coming along great! (just wondering, are there any add on timberframe accents/non structural timberframe that you know of. When we move our kitchen we wanted to add a timberframe look with out having to demo. Thanks)

Wow that is awesome - what did you use to finish it?

I don't know of any off hand. I think your best bet would be to contact a timberframe company and let them know what your looking to do. I'm sure they could come up with some suggestions and ideas. Corner post would be one thing that would be easy to do. The entire right wing of our house and upper left wing is stick built. We added timbers in the corners of the master bedroom along with t&g pine on the ceiling in the bedroom. The bathtub in the master bathroom was framed in with timbers floor to ceiling. We also added some timber scissor trusses in the upstairs hallway. All of these helped give a similar look of being a full timberframe. Just not sure how easy it would be to do on a remodel.

I used four coats Helmsman spar urethane. After a late night I was able to get it installed. Now I'm just trying to find a copper vessel sink that I can afford to go with it. I'll try to get some pictures today.
