Well, I dunno if I'd exactly call it funny crash ... but it is fairly handy and pretty comfortable after a long trip.

I'm not going to lobby to be reinstated and had decided, as I stated and practiced over the days just before the big purge of 2014, that I was spending less time there, and unsubscribed from all but a couple of threads. It seemed that everything was repeat of some earlier statement. But, I do find it rather strange that within 2 days of banning these awful offenders, that someone would be allowed back in. Someone with anti Jewish stated beliefs, and a very close relation to Muslims, was allowed back in. Would lead one to question the motives and beliefs of those allowing him back. Now I couldn't care less if this pisses someone to the point of banning me from the site, if so, who cares? No investment, no loss.

Well, I have no intention of asking to be allowed back into the FP threads. Frankly, I expect to see the rules applied consistently - meaning everyone should be restored, or no one should be restored.

Did I sling a few insults - sure. I'm not inclined to be apologetic for responding in-kind to a stick in the eye. None of this really bothers me because it just goes with the territory when discussing religion and politics. Heck, sometimes it's even fun to come up with a clever way to deliver a verbal slack across the teeth of your opponent. More bothersome to me are those who jump immediately to insults when their ideology has no defense.

Personally, I think anything short of making personal threats or inciting violence should simply be handled at each user's discretion - accept/block/leave. The moderator doesn't need to be bothered every time little johnny calls me a nasty.

I watch with curiosity to see if this issue is ultimately resolved fairly.

Top, I'm not arguing with how you feel. I will say, that the opportunity to be brought back in was open to anyone who asked. Seems to me like rswyan asked. I would guess that he got a warning of some kind, but I don't think he received special treatment.

I'm hopeful that the side forum will change to one of opposing sides that actually care about each other. You can learn a lot from your "enemy", which we aren't enemies here, IMO. However, were we enemies, One has said we are to love our enemies. Bless them, and do not curse.

I don't think the Mod's really were paying attention. They don't want to babysit. Someone must have called them out to do some babysitting. If I were a Mod, I would find babysitting our bunch quite an annoying chore, that should be unnecessary. If they have to babysit in the future, they won't. They will close (erase?) the side forum.

Now, this thread is becoming repetitive, am unsubscribing.

I did a count...7 people on my ignore list who suddenly began posting and justifying their bad behavior on this thread. I must have a quality ignore list!! so, 232,000 members and 7 who are spoiling the milk...not worth the attention they are getting.

You're spot on as far as I know ...

I'm fairly sure - in light of the nature of my transgressions - that I wasn't treated any different than anyone else would be.

The site owner don't know me from Adam ... other than he or a moderator has had to delete some of my posts and warn me for being out of line ... something that I don't imagine has particularly endeared me to him.

It's mostly a matter of available time ... I suspect az - the sole mod for the FP forum - has a F/T job ... only so many hours in the day.
