Mahindra: Nothing but problems

2 months of warranty repair for leaking fuel and hydraulic hoses, still do not have the tractor back. The poor dealer has been waiting for parts and waiting for parts and waiting some more. What can I say? I have owned a tractor for a year and been without it since before this thread started.

Who needs a tractor in the spring anyway, It's not important to have one this time of year, right?

That sucks. Most important time of year to have a tractor. If I were the dealer I'd make them up myself and get you out the door. $100 worth of hose and fittings would make a happy customer instead of you twiddling your thumbs getting irritated about making payments and not using your machine.

The local Mahindra Rep told my dealer that they would not honor the warranty repair if the hoses did not come from Mahindra.

I love my tractor, but if I was told that I would ask them to get me a loaner and pay the interest while they get their act together. Very, very unfortunate treatment.

All the fuel hoses can be replaced by off the shelf hoses by grinding off the crimps from the factory hoses. Most all tractor shops have a hydraulic hose machine. I can't see why they are waiting on parts if these are the parts they need.

That is ridiculous. Sorry, I'm a big Mahindra fan but that does not work for me. We need to balance "the rules" with common sense, and he should know that. You can't have a down tractor for a couple of weeks for $20 of hose because of some technicality. If I were the dealer, I'd just fix it and deal with Mahindra afterward.

Thanks Dave, I was as patient as I could be, some even say overly so. I've been calling the dealer just about every other day for 2 weeks and they are always waiting for something that didn't come or the wrong part came. I called the assigned contact at Mahindra and even tried the operator to speak with anyone and no one is picking up. Maybe they are off today?

Exactly what I did after the first one failed and an inspection of the others showed collapses. Unlike your good self who I understand took the time to swap them out before the tractors were delivered once you realised there was a problem, some dealers and I suspect (and have formed that belief after correspondence with one here) the regional distributors behind them, don't give a rat's backside about their customers.
