Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Tire chain storeage???

I think what grm61 is talking about is the overall weight of tire chains, totally dependant on tractor tire size.

We've got guys in this conversation with as small as 26x12x12 rear tires. Obviously they can hang those on nails.

You ain't hangin mine on nails,,, if you can lift them up TO hang on nails.

We're all together is this discussion. Just too many variables for one rule to apply broadly. It's all good. :)

Then if you have 2 link or 4 link spacing on the chains or some other variation can make a big difference in weight.

I suppose you could get some railroad spikes (nails right?) and use the FEL to hang them up there?:D It is all about just how bad you want to do this.

James, I'm totally not worthy. I pile my chains on the shop floor and work around 'em all year. I'm only moving them to install/uninstall. :)

I don't blame you. 170 lbs each is a chunk.

I never keep my chains on the floor. With all the children playing around the house, it is pretty dangerous.

I don't care who you are,,,, that's funny!!!!! :)

Welcome to TBN!!!!! :)

I finally got my crooked tire chains off of my tractor that wont stay on straight no matter what I do. I got these Talon tire chains in 07. They broke 3 times last year, this past winter they have only broke 5, 6, 7, 8 times. It's nice that spring is finally here to finally get these chains off and stored away. Thanks to my daughter, here are a few pictures.
