Quick Hitches NEW Style QUICK HITCH Found on Craig's List

Wow, that Delta hook is $1120 for a cat 1 system with one main hitch and 2 implement receivers.

Seems like a lot of money for little steel and no moving parts...

I can see myself building something like this in the near future though. I really only use 2 implements most of the time. A bushhog and a blade. But I do change them frequently.

Has anyone been able to get pricing on this quick hitch to compare with the Delta hook. From looking at both videos< I think I like this one better than the Delta hook.

Gary, the Web site is down, and the telephone number is answered by a literal answering machine that says leave a name and a number and we will get back to you.
They cannot amount to much more than a garage operation in my opinion. Not a favorable first impression.

I certainly do not mind spending money to make my life easier and do so on a regular basis. My motto is he who dies with the most cool stuff, wins. But I just do not see how this is much better than an inexpensive, standard QH of any type that does not require a specialized mating attachment for every implement.

If I had to change implements more than a few times a day- maybe, possibly. I do get off and on my tractor quite a few times a day for various reasons, including to change between various implements in this mix. Personally I do not see enough of an advantage to spend this kind of money on the initial purchase, then more for additional female mating units for every implement and in the end being locked into a highly specialized, one-off technology. I am just fine with the standard QH types. Gosh, anyone who knows me would think I am being blasphemous. :)

I have seen a lot of hitches like this on European tractors, particularly front mount disc mowers. It's called a Weiste hitch.

I very much agree with this.

It's not uncommon for me to change 3pt items 2 or more times in a day's work using a standard QH. I might avoid those changes if I had to manually do it. But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't change MORE often if I had this type hitch. So with that said, it's hard to justify the additional cost.

We have the CAT 1 Delta Hook on our Kubota and three implements, Bush Hog Cutter, box blade, disc harrow. The beauty and real value of the Delta Hook, beyond fast implement exchange, is the significant adjustability of the implement plates. They adjust for very wide range in distance between lower hookup points and also compensate for varying vertical distance between upper and lower links.

We bought a SpeeCo CAT 2 QA for the New Holland and it worked with only one of 4 supposedly QA compatible implements. Took it back and will be biting the bullet on a set of Delta Hook CAT 2 plates.

The ones in the CL ad are a poor knockoff on the Delta Hook and don't see the adjustability of the implement plates either.

I have no doubt that the Delta Hook is superior in it's use than a QH. My hurdle is the cost. For what you paid for one implement plate you probably could have hired all your implements modified to fit QH.But then, I'm not familiar with the Delta Hook setup enough to quote costs. I'm CAT II. Please tell me how much it would cost me to buy the Delta setup for the tractor plus 4 implement plates??
