Someone like Messick could probably explain it.

Its not Tier4. That starts at 26.5 Hp. I am sure this was covered somewhere in nearly 200 posts, but the 'D' version has the same changes as happened on the -70 series. Nicer seat, and fancy dash. There is now a BX25D-1 that has an improved floor mat as well. The 25 had less changes than the other BX's because its roll bar stayed the same, while this has varied on the other models.

The biggest difference in my mind is the fact that you can get a FEL quick attach on the BX25D that Kubota says does not fit on the old BX25. Apparently, however, it seems that it can be fitted on the older BX 25 loader, although supposedly Kubota has beefed up the front end loader on the new BX25D in order to accommodate palette forks that can be attached to the front end loader of the BX25D. This of course implies that we might damage our front and loader if we put the quick attach and palette forks on the older model BX25.

Yes, what "check" said, above, plus:

the better, more supportive, more "ergo" Deluxe High Back Suspension Seat;

the "already there" mounting bosses, on the dipper stick, for the mechanical thumb.

CRUISE CONTROL

Series Hydraulic Circuits - allow use of all loader/backhoe functions at the same time;

Cushioned Hydraulics

Foldable ROPS

Brake on the LEFT side, for a more sensible arrangement (allowing one foot to handle Forward/Reverse, and the other to handle braking (not that much/any is normally needed);

The fact that the QA for the FEL now allows the use of affordable, lightweight, ADJUSTABLE FORK WIDTH PALLET FORKS, right from Kubota, for "plug and play" usage,
as opposed to the $1,200+ expense (when fab shop costs are added to an aftermarket, OVERLY-HEAVY, SSQA kit, starting at $825. plus fab shop costs) offered by ATI, among others. And yes, you do have to shell out $279., when you order the BX25D, for the optional Kubuta QA, but that's waaay cheaper than $1,200.+ to go the SSQA route, the (unneeded) weight of which will cut into the SCUT FEL's limited lifting capacity, significantly more than Kubota's cheap, lightwweight, proprietary QA system, for the aforementioned sum of only $279.

And all the rest of the items listed in this "dealer" publication, which I suspect was part of a "Press Pack" given to Kubota dealers, by Kubota Corporate:

Kubota Dealer Meeting 2012 - New BX1870 BX2370 BX2670 & BX25D
Error

Do check out the official, Kubota-produced "NEW" BX25D(D?) brochure, linked in the above-linked, dealer-distributed article, here:

Here is a link to the BX 70 Series Brochure!

Anyone that can read, and can "compare and contrast" at a 9th grade level, can see that these two models (based on two DIFFERENT series, per Kubota's own literature, i.e., the "60" and "70" series), can see that the features of the previous (i.e., "60-series-based) BX25"D" tractor are SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT from the "NEW," "70-series"-based BX25"D"D.

One wonders what possible agenda someone as seemingly-coherent as JWR could have, in attempting to discount the above differences in features....

Yeah, I said it.... :D

doG this was turning to such a fun thread.

I did not know that one of the "updates" was a different engine. Good doG if that is a negligible difference in your book there is going to be no point in going further....not like there was anyway...

Can we get back to talking about BX25DD
If we are talking about double Ds we need some pictures!

I think willis49 has "left the building"

That's too bad. I really would have liked to know how he made out. Sounds like not well.

Sorry I haven't let the interested people on here know about the outcome with my "mini" debacle.
I had many discussions with the salesman that sold me the BX25 and through those discussions I ascertained the salesman wasn't trying anything malicious on his part. He just didn't know. Should he have known more about the BX than he did? In my opinion... yes. I believe a good salesman, a really GOOD salesman should know the differences in his product and his competitions, good salesman know this.
I believe the salesman who sold me this tractor is not a good salesman but a decent person.
So why did I buy it? Ask any true KUBOTA owner what really "SELLS" a Kubota tractor and 99% of them will tell you "Because its a KUBOTA!"
Why did I buy it? It is almost flawlessly cared for and shows no signs of misuse with very low hours. I simply could not let this tractor get away.
Now in closing, at the time I looked at it should I have known more about the BX25 than I did.. yes. DO I know more about this (non-upgraded) BX25D than I knew when I originally bought it... absolutely!
So far, my BX25 is making my life easier and more enjoyable. The BX25 is a pleasure to maneuver and operate and I plan on keeping this for a LONG TIME!

Thanks for the responses and I hope others have learned from my experience because I certainly have. . .
