I'm looking at buying an 1100C. I think the dealer has the new RTVX and a new leftover RTV. What are the improvements on the X?

I'm supposed to go look Friday and test drive one.

The front and rear work lights seem expensive. Is there already wiring there for me to put my own lights? Is there already a switch or when they put the factory lights in do they put in another switch?

What is the extended oil dipstick option?

When I build one on the Kubota site there is no option for a radio. Is radio standard for the X models?

Anyone have the CV joint guards?

I've got an RTV 1140 and love it...the extra seat is soooooo much more handy than I thought it would ever be. I leave it set up all the time. Good place to put certain tools, buckets, etc while moving around on the ranch in working mode...and I have a small trailer attached as well for T posts, wire, lots of big tools for specific task in progress. I did lots of upgrades as well, including front and rear lights and associated switch box which I constructed and installed.

Net...think about the 1140 for your needs....I see you have a large property, as do I....It's amazing to me how extra handy the extra seat is...can carry an extra helping hand or two while having an easily accessible place for jackets, ropes, gosh, so much stuff while dashing around and not having time to stow everything while work is in progress. It's a true ranch work vehicle...top speed of 25mph is sufficient, and more, for off road work. and, 25mph is just fine to dash down most ranch roads and get to the other side!

Not sure the 1140 has yet been upgraded with the new features. Biggest negative, and it's kinda small, is the 1140 has its emergency brake at hip level on left side....hip hits it getting in and out, particularly if it is pulled up.

I test drove the RTVX 1100. It seemed to ride pretty good and had nice cab features. I just hate how **** slow it is.

I talked to a guy that has an older Kubota and he said they are pieces of **** and to not get one. He said they are lacking power and that when you get into mud you can't spin the wheels enough to get out?

I think the 1100 with cab would be nice for fence work. I can see a Bobcat generator in the bed doing pipe corral panels :D I can also see a 60 gallon sprayer in the back for thistles.
