Compact Root Grapple December 26, 2013
Reviewer: Bill from East Wenatchee, WA United States

I purchased this Grapple to use on my 30HP Cub Cadet 7305 with 485 FEL and could not be happier. The build quality is second to none with attention to every detail. The welds are clean and with the laser cut pieces, the fit is perfect. The size is ideal for my tractor and with the light weight, I can carry additional load and not worry about strength because of construction quality. I have cleared several trees with it and the time savings is incredible. I can now do in 3 hours what used to take me 2 days, and stay in the driver's seat the entire time! The video of the grapple in use is what sold me over lesser priced, heavier units. No regrets here. This grapple has quickly become my favorite attachment.

I've been using my 50" grapple for almost a year now and have found it to be an excellent implement for brush, log and rock removal. It's very well built and has not bent with fairly aggressive use. Amazingly strong for its light weight. At first I thought it would be too small for my purpose but after talking with the rep he suggested it for my needs. It has proved to be able to grab much larger loads than I imagined. There are some techniques to learn like rolling your pile into it by rolling it as you drive forward. It's smaller size lets you get around obstacles much easier. I highly recommend this little workhorse!

Once again, a plea to Everything Attachments to make the same basic grapple in 3/8" mild steel (or high strength) so that the 50" single lid can be used on 40-50hp CUTs. There is a big market for such a grapple at a reasonable price point. While you are redesigning templates for the 3/8" steel, you might as well reconfigure the geometry a tad to increase the jaw opening. Mid 40's would be nice.

I agree, just raise the pivots for the single lid. Like this, but a 45 inch opening.

I think that it's a good idea. The HD beefed up version would probably be in the $2K range, just guessing, but I do think it will sell.

Ted had back surgery a few weeks ago, so he hasn't been around much during recovery. I'll definitely discuss this with him when I get a chance.

I am waiting for the HD version, My DK 45 Cab with loaded rears and backhoe on is a tick over 8K lbs, I have a lot of big rocks that I want to be able to place where I need them, It would be nice to be able to horse this grapple a little and not worry about damaging it.

A little larger opening would be nice, and tines spaced closer together on the bottom to collect the smaller rocks, I hope Ted heals well.

They have the narrow bottom tine thing worked out. Very neat solution: intermediate tines that are bolted in place and removable. Best of both worlds.

Here's a 50" Single Lid Grapple review that we just received:

"After hours of research and reading reviews on the internet, I decided to purchase the 50" Wicked Root Grapple from Everything Attachments. After a few minutes on the phone, we both agreed that it would be a good fit for my 28 hp Kioti CK27 hydrostatic drive tractor. I placed my order and it arrived on schedule as promised. I had it delivered to my local Home Town Hardware store with the free shipping option. The unit was securely strapped down to a pallet and had no damage from shipping. The fit to the tractor was perfect. Shortly after receiving my grapple, I had a large limb (about 35' long) fall from my old pecan tree. With a pole saw and the grapple, I was able to clear it all up in less than an hour. The grapple made cutting the large pieces into fireplace logs very simple. I am very pleased with every aspect of the grapple, from fit and finish to performance and the people at EA were very helpful."

Ditto for me as well. I'm sure the lighter version would be acceptable for my L3650, but it'd be great to move the HD version over to the Bobcat as well.

Your wish is our command!
We are taking orders for our heavier 54"(349 pounds), 60"(382 pounds), 66"(410 pounds) and 72"(435 pounds) models with a single lid.
We've made a few already and they will be showing up on our website soon.

We have been discussing the new models and will continue to post updates about them on our heavier Wicked Grapple Thread.
