Just tangled with both of those while mowing this weekend.
My left leg is all swollen up---red---itchy
Not a happy camper
Particularly since it was probably NOT my job to be mowing on "Father's Day"

It has to be Carless Weed or Pig Weed. This rotten stuff.

Poison Ivy commands respect. Spray it, weed whack it, dig it, burn it, nuke it ... doesn't matter, it will grow back!

On my back 5 acres that have been unmowed for the past 20 years, PI is gradually creeping everywhere....I do mow a 10 foot wide swath around the entire plot but that is the only way I can keep it down. It's now going up the trees and fence posts...

Get any herbicide that has 2,4-D in it and be done with the PI.

Love the comments. I spent 30 years in weed management, 15 in crops and the last 15 in brush, invasive species and wildlife management. Retired and still own a spray business. You all have made quite the list of nasty buggers that is for sure!

Yes sir, might take a pretty good dose but it will kill it. Crossbow with a surfactant is my go-to for woody weeds. (ie, rose bushes, trees, shrub type weeds, briars, ect). There are others I'm sure, but Crossbow has always worked for me.


It won't harm any grass but will do a number on a garden, flower beds, ect. I prefer to use it early in the spring or later in the fall, before/after anyone near me sets out their garden. But I use it in a mist sprayer so the chances of it drifting are much much higher.
