.22s ... anyone have one ?

Have several 22s but, my favorite is a Ruger Single Six convertible that shoots both 22LR and 22 Mags. Bought it back in the 1970's.

Agree that the ammo situation in a big PIA.

A couple or three. All rifles. Winchester, a Savage, and I forget what the other one is; all older well-broken in with plenty of kills for all of them. Two with iron sights, and one with a x7 scope.

An old Vostok TOZ-17 (made in USSR even!) and an even older Anschutz 190.. both shoot well, but the Anschutz is a lot better finished.

I have owned a bunch of .22's over the years. These three survived the cut:

Kimber Model 82
Ruger Mark ll Target
S&W K-22 Masterpiece

I remember shooting my Grandfather's "Octagon" Winchester 22... I remember it being very heavy as a child.

Ruger Mark ll Target, Ruger revolver and Ruger 10/22 had a Colt frontier scout but traded it for a muzzleloader in the 7o's wish I would have kept it.

3. Browning A-bolt
4. Smith and Wesson K-22

I bought my 62A in May 1959 and as I understand it the last made were in 1958. The old man behind the counter in the feed and seed store could probably tell by the compression on my face I didn't have the $65.00 price tag. He said " Son, if you can come up with $45.00 you can have that gun and that's the last one I'll ever get". Probably the most intelligent purchase I ever made.

The only .22 rifle I regret selling was a Winchester 9422. That was one that I should have kept.
