No. I have 5. Heheheheeeeee. A man cain't have two many .22s. My last acquisition is an old Remington semi auto that shoots all three, shorts, longs, and long rifles. I use shorts for squirrel hunting.

Now, taking ye Mark II apart... I've got one of them too, Ruger Mark II. I was told don't even do it. Can you post pics of how ye did it?

That would be the Model 552 Speedmaster.

I have one of those with a fancy walnut stock my Dad gave me when I was 16.

I also have:
Astra Cub 22 9 shot revolver
Buckmark
Ruger 10-22
Marlin bolt action rifle

There is one more that I can't remember. I will have to go look.

My old 10/22 (with lots of newer parts) was my first rifle and is still my favorite. Not much of an elk gun but still so fun to shoot...when ammo is available!

Still have the model 572 "Lightweight" Buckskin Tan that we used in the late fifties to shoot sparrows to feed the barn cats and for rabbit and squirrel hunting. It was quite a step up from the single shot Stevens that needed a pliers to eject the brass.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and a video is worth ?

Ruger Mark II 22 LR Pistol Disassembly Assembly - YouTube

The Ruger video brought back memories and got me looking for my model. It looks like it was the original "Standard" model which had fixed sights. I sold it sometime in the early '80's or whenever Canada did the first round of crazy gun laws where you had to register long guns (you always had to register pistols.

Mine was a lot easier to disassemble than the video. I could lift the lever with a thumb nail and did not need a hammer to slide the barrel forward.

I was going to say I had 14 but then remembered that didn't include pistols and revolvers and a single shot TC barrel. I think it would take several boxes of ammo to load all of them. That is not to load all the 10/22 magazines. Some are very old like me and some are older than that. An original Ruger standard I bought in 1958 for my Dad then inherited it when he died. I don't think you can have too many 22's

I've got three .22 caliber firearms:

Marlin 39A (outstanding rifle!)
Smith & Wesson Model 17 (6 shot DA revolver...not sure of the vintage, but it has the counterbored cylinder)
Colt Woodsman semi-auto

I shoot the 39A and S&W occasionally....been a few years since I shot the Woodsman.

I've got several 22 rimfires and it'd be hard to pick a favorite but I usually grab either the 10/22, the Speedmaster or the 15/22 in rifles, the Mark II, 1911-22 or the Model 17 for pistols.

I also still have my first rifle, an Ithaca Model 49 Saddlegun single shot. I was about 11 or 12 years old when I got it and it cost $25.00 and the dealer threw in 2 boxes of long rifle and a cleaning kit. Yessir, back then an 11 or 12 year old could buy a gun!

An easy fix for the Ruger pistol - Speed Strip Kit It makes tear down and rebuild almost easy enough to do it blindfolded. Not really cheap, but it is easy and it eliminates most of the pre-travel in the trigger.

After reading all of this thread, I think I'm going to do a little target shooting this afternoon.

I've had a ruger mk2 .. well? forever .. sillything shoots fantastic .. and then theres my ruger 10/22 that I'vehad since1976..
took awhile to figure out how to break down the mark 2 .. but once you do . piece of cake !
......
I have the same ones you do. The rifle has killed more hogs than Oscar Meyer.
There is a reflex site on my competition slab side, and I had a leather holster custom made for that assembly. It goes everywhere. I have been using it for over 20 years.
