Be careful, they multiply.
My most favorite I have ever been acquainted with are:
Marlin 39A with a Skinner rear peep sight. It is the most accurate I own and I like the heft of it.
Winchester 9422 - I have two of them, a large loop LR and a regular .22 Mag. Since they don't make them anymore they are mostly safe queens. They are just a little trimmer and maybe a tad slicker than the Marlin.
S&W 317 snubbie. It is so light and also corrosion resistant I just can't find a good reason not to have it in my pocket anytime I am out working or recreating out on the land. Shooting a rat on the run with rat shot with a snubbie .22 revolver inside a horse stall is the closest I will ever get to the great shootout at the OK Corral, it is lots of fun.
Remington Nylon 66. This one isn't mine but my fathers. There is no reason that it should still work or even resemble anything that looks like a firearm. There is no telling how many times it has been fired. It has ridden behind the seat of his truck daily, not in a case, full of dirt and dust, and "cleaning" is getting hosed out with WD40 every 5 or so years. I can never remember him not having it, and it was the first not BB gun gun I ever shot so it has to be at least 40 years of this abuse and it keeps on ticking.
Browning Buckmark - this is the first handgun I ever bought. I still own it and shoot it regularly. I was sold on the sights and the trigger, they were sweet back then and are still sweet today. I have taught many to shoot with it and as good as the Ruger autos are I have always shot this one better.
I have others. I have Ruger handguns and rifles in .22, a couple of the Henrys and some Remingtons of different flavors, but those are my favorite.
