48*F, clear and headed to 81 today.

Sharon got her feet tangled up playing with the dogs yesterday evening. Rolled her ankle over and landed hard on her shoulder. I'll probably be helping her with stuff today.

68 with 88 on the way.
Dave, sorry about your wife. I did the same thing with my puppy (now 38 lbs). I landed okay although the pup squealed like never before - she was okay .

Roy, maybe you can get a baler for your tractor and make hay from your lawn. :)

Happy Friday, everyone!

Good morning, 61F heading to a predicted high of 84F. Have a 6 x 10 shed that my kids kept their toys in, got it cleaned out last night and put all the broken toys in garbage. the rest will either be sold , donated or the kids can take home for the grand kids to play with. No rain in sight for a few days so I was able to finally spray the weeds in the driveway.

57 with Showers this Morning turning humid with a high of 79.I finally was able to get in Garden and tilled it before the Weeds took over.

On my way to mow the lawn. Went to Menards in Lansing, had to get some roofing stuff to repair the goat shed, the roof was damaged during a ice storm this winter. I had to pick a piece of branch about 4 in in diameter out of the roof. I should have taken pics. 4 sheets of new roofing, some 2x4's to brace up the broken trusses, a new 2x6 fascia board, and some more tinwork. I have put it off long enough, I guess...:)
No sense waiting until winter to fix it!

I rolled over on my ankle a few years ago, turned out to be a hairline fracture on my ankle. I am still feeling the effects, 5 years later. Take care.

Same thing for my Mrs....she has suffered with it for over 6 mos. now..She got an elastic support sock that slips over the ankle and it helps her...Doc said it takes time...

It gets worse. Sharon took a super strength tylenol before going to bed to cut the pain in her shoulder and ankle. She had one left over from minor eye surgery last winter. On her way back from the bathroom in the wee hours of the night, she sort of blacked-out, fell and hit her head on the bedstand. Now she has one black eye and a small lump on her eyebrow. She has sworn off super tylenol. :)

She's a trooper though, up and around today. I walked the dogs this morning and fed them. I think for the ankle recovery, it helps that she walks the dogs everyday for a mile at least. Her muscle tone and tendons should be in decent condition. She won't sit still anyways.

little falls can really hurt as we get older. And we heal less quickly. Dave kiss it and make it better.

maybe tractor folk are too busy taking care of their properties,
because what i really want to know is...

who's going fishing?

Wingsprd for sure; he's going to be on the cover of Fly Fisherman magazine in a couple of years, I do believe.
but who else is taking their kids or grandkids fishing?
so during the summer, if you catch a fish, ring out.

cloudy but nice here, low eighties. And I'm stuck inside boxing up old bills, medical records, and the dust is getting to me.
of course then I had to get the pledge out and since I could find the tops to the desks in the office, I got to cleaning them, and the bookshelves, and
boy I think those new trees need watering. Yes I believe they do. ;)

Good afternoon all. 72F this morning hit 85 then thunderstorm came as I was wheeling out the bike. Temp has dropped to 77F. Replace two outside light fixtures, drying paint (moving cleanup) and trimming yesterday's mow. Wife and I were going to a golf and dinner tonight but the mud will likely "rain" it out :)

Drew will likley throw out a trot line over the fourth, fishing will not be easy down a boat and big gang coming to in-laws at Bull Shoals Lake.

Dave sorry to hear about the wife's ankle those injuries HURT!

Howdy, haven't checked in on this thread in ages. Exciting to read about Drew's moving plan, house looks nice. Some friends of mine have retired down in that area.

Looks like we might get a storm here later. I'm just laying around recovering from a colonoscopy this morning. They removed a couple small polyps. My oldest sister died of colon cancer a few yrs ago, so I'm on the frequent plan.

Saturday morning, Roy is sawing wood in his dreams, and I am wide awake thinking of how to keep a crowd of people coming today to help me pack/declutter busy.
The colored dots are ready, the tape, the bins, sharpies, bubble wrap, ...
truck is back from the accessory shop with its bed top on, so now I can haul stuff without worrying about lids flying off bins. And they installed a step on the left rear bumper so I can step up into this very tall truck.
let the grunt work begin. actually many hands make light work and both my sister and my ex-wife(who are lifelong friends) are going to work together snooping into all my stuff and being thoroughly entertained. Luckily their husbands will be schlepping the heavy stuff. Guys just tote boxes, the ladies like to know what is in them... sound familiar?

I hope you all have a relaxing and fun weekend. Am beginning to hear a few fireworks going off at night, just practice, right guys...

53 degrees and up early for a Saturday morning. Not a whole bunch to do today, but it is my birthday so what to heck I can do what I want! (mostly as long as she approves)
Getting the final stuff ready for the pig roast next Saturday most important thing will be the weather at this point.

49 and a bit foggy right now. The fog will burn off in a couple hours. The high is supposed to be 84 and no rain today, unlikely on Sunday as well.
Today: Pick up new blades for my RFM and an oil filter for the Gator, then down to West Lebanon (NH) for a bit of bulk shopping.
After that, the rest of the weekend will most likely be seat time mowing.

Happy Birthday Wayne!

Happy packing day, Drew!

66 here, with 88 forecasted. We missed all the thunderstorms this week, and things are staring to dry out. I catch a fair amount of rain water into barrels running off the little barn roof, so I'll be transferring these into my FEL bucket, and playing rain man today.

A red tail hawk was walking around under my pear tree yesterday, near the house. It flew down from a fence post. I've never seen one on the ground unless it had prey, but this one was just walking. They have a nest about 150 yards over in a strip of loblolly pines and recently fledged the young ones.

Drinking second cup of coffee. 59° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 86° with chance of a thunderstorm late in the afternoon. Got the lawn cut yesterday. Grass was so high I am going to have to get the Trak-Vac out to clean up grass clippings. Going to wash the 40 window on the house today.
Happy Birthday Wayne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning All.
