locknlube cupler for a grease gun

Okay... I have a CK27. Anyone else notice this? LOTS of the zerks are in the recessed fittings. I was about to plop down my money - this is the only negative I have heard on this device.

Perhaps a way to work around this...is to use pipe and plumb it to where you can reach it. Or screw in a short piece of hose with a zerk on the end.

Of course these are subject to break during use. I have some zerks on a short grease hose to get grease to places that are a pain to get to. They do work fine, but they are either high or protected.

It worked on all the recessed fitting on the loader of my dk40

Has anybody else run into smoothness of how this coupler works? Seems the sleeve doesn't quite come back far enough and that last little bit of pushing on the thumb operated sleeve gets tough to push. And when that happens you can't get the coupler to go on the zerk.

see if when you pull back on the tab, then use the fingers of the other hand, and rotate the jaws counterclockwise (or maybe clockwise) just a bit to see if that makes any difference in the way it operates.. don't know, but give it a try..

Hmmm... something doesn't sound right. Since using my unit, I can't get it not to work! I love this thing. Good luck... maybe a small pebble or something in the mechanism??? Grasping here.

I have not, mine is a smooth as can be. As others have said, check it out to make sure there isn't something stuck in it or mis adjusted. Good luck.

Well....something ain't right with mine. Guess I need to contact them.

Fixing to mow this morning, and I always hit my spindles on the mower with a squirt. I could not get the coupler onto the zerks. Finally, I put the little adapter I made from the former grease gun end that has a zerk on it (handy for tight places)..put it in a vise, and with considerable force finally got it on the locknlube. Then greased with the adapter in place.

Looks like the jaws simply are not opening enough. I twisted them a bit both clockwise and counterclock wise without really changing anything.
