A very good friend of mine is a huge farmer in Missouri standards, 25,000 acres of corn and soybeans. All his equipment is GPS guided.

He says his employees would rather drive the tractor, that it's extremely boring with GPS, especially in big fields.

He rents our rowcrop land. As he was telling me this we were watching his Son plant corn in one of our fields. It has a large wooden pole power line going diagonally across it. He said, for example, he better be paying attention on this next pass because his 24 row planter is gonna hit that pole. Luckily, he was paying attention.

Still amazes me to watch them go across the field with the steering wheel tilted forward, legs crossed and relaxing.

Wow! That would be a bad day, and can't imagine what the power provider/grid would charge for repairs.

I can't remember if I complemented Fred on his turbo build or not, but if I didn't, hats off to you Fred, I was extremely skeptical at first, but after a bit I could see you were serious and knew what your were doing. Again, sorry for doubting you.

I'll just go ahead and say I do not remember if I publicly doubted him or not but I sure did privately.

However, I think based on the way he presented himself at first, he wanted us to doubt him.

Think a 6000 Lb Tractor is bad with 37.4 Net Hp, then my +8,000 LB l39 will make you sick. I hate plowing snow with it, otherwise, I just use the garing to get the job done.

If you think the Controls are jerky on the Grand L series, try some other brand's compact and sub compact tractors. True, you can open a can of beer with an excavator.
