Thanks, ovrszd, I thought it was funny anyway.

I wouldn't even go there.

The Fred is the man., quickly becoming legend in TBN circles. He has blown past anyone that has questioned his intent or his abilities. I might add that some very prominent TBN members were skeptical of The Fred, now they seem to be silent.

Lol! Alrighty then! (0:

Yeah you did set yourself up and the girl on the screen didn't help. Glad we are keeping it clean here. That was a funny one.

I admit PapaPerk I was one who was skeptical of Fred

OK ok ok I can screw with the best of you as you screw with MY thread.
In low yes "L" on the range finder.

It's way underpowered and most likely will get a boost somehow.

Really folks what I need for input would be help properly sizing a turbo not turning this into a "should he do it or not" thread. Should I use an intercooler? Do I need different injectors?
The S-160 engine is 60 hp. I might be happy with 50. I have a 75 inch rear mount snoblower that most likely will put a damper on my fun this winter.

There's some good diesel guys on this forum who could shoot me some ideas. The warranty issues and ifs or buts are my problem.
I have tig welder and tools, lathe, milling machine whatever it takes. What I LACK is proper education to size the turbine.

Thanks, Fred

I started reading this thread until I got to here, Really ...........Not sure why you guys even post anything after reading what he said here.
Sounds like he's just playing you guys.

WaxMan

That was my first post about Fred above. This was after 5 pages of people leaving all kinds of comments.
I knew I was dead wrong about him. Once I saw his work, his shop, and his determination to put a turbo on a brand new tractor. Today, I regret posting this. I have nothing but respect for The Fred and his work NOW

I think Fred snuck up on all of us at first, who would put a turbo on a brand new tractor, asking for proper education?
Must have been a slow thread night.

Fred has my respect for his excellent work and hanging in there while we all caught up to him.

I especially like how he made light of my inclinometer thread as it was going down hill fast.

I am in the process of building my own design tilt-O-meter.

Basically it is a coat hanger, fresh roll of toilet paper (thanks to 4shorts video) with a pointer hanging down over a colored pie chart taped to the windshield so I never take my eyes off it. Still have some thinking to do as to what the pie chart will say, throw me some ideas so it works better.

I'll do my own video testing it on my nasty lawn with the fred mask on.

Fred If you thought the turbo video was funny wait until you see this! Gotta find some time in between snowstorms.

"so I never take my eyes off it.":D

WaxMan, you are absolutely a prominent member but not one that I was referring to. There were some that never came back and complimented The Fred on his work after it was obvious he knew what he was doing.

Water under the bridge and I should not even have mentioned it. There are talented people on TBN like the two of you that do some fabulous work and I appreciate the threads.

Thanks Tom,
I didn't think you were talking about me. It just reminded me that in the beginning, I was not to open to the Fred the way he was asking for help and what he wanted to do with a new tractor. I really thought at the time he was playing us.

We all know now that wasn't the case. Not sure why others that were against him in the begining aren't commenting. Some people just can't give credit when credit is due, I guess.

OK, I'll fess up to my skepticism. The idea vs the warranty is what got me. But obviously Fred has superb fab skills and he's done a heckuva job. Hats off to ya, Fred.

Can I keep my TBN membership card?
