Good post Soundguy, I saw something similar happen to a company I worked for many years ago. A child ran his bicycle in the path of one of the company trucks from out behind a hedge so the driver could not see the child coming. 100% the child's fault. The child was not even badly hurt, just skinned up some. To make a long story short The company's insurance payed and the driver was "drawn and quartered" in the trial. The parents did not even want to sue until an ambulance chaser hounded them multiple times and promised them a fortune in money at no risk to them. He was right. The point is, if a child pulls his bike out from behind an obstruction into the path of a company truck, or a teen driver runs a stop sign into the path of a semi the company and all concerned are in trouble. Just like if your dog bites someone, you are in trouble.
