As for the safety switches, I was told they may get corrosion and not allow the switch to work. A heated safety switch was not discussed.
In any event, since my mower has a warranty, I will let the shop replace the Starter and solenoid and go from there. They supposedly checked every other part that would cause the no-start.
I will certainly post the results.
Your mower, warranty or not. A relay would be cheaper for the dealer to install than a new starter and solenoid. What happens if the new starter and solenoid is installed and the problem continues? What would happen if the relay was installed and the problem goes away?
