............................Are those lines adjustable? I see they taper is there a way to adjust them?
....................
They are just kinda resident on the screen. I wanted to mess with it today but had way too much manual labor to do. Since the camera has a wide angle, I want to swing it up a little so I can see cars coming up behind me. Stopped by TBN while I cool down a little. Hate to get a shower while still overheated and step out still sweating right away.

I flipped on the monitor and rear camera today and the camera that isn't supposed to have lines, has lines. :thumb down:

Bench test these things before installing them.

My camera and monitor arrived today. It was only a few days ago that I placed the order. Installation was quick and easy and it works fine. I only began mowing at 8:00 this evening, but there was a good 45 minutes of decent light. When it got dark and I kicked the LED's on the picture had a little washout because of the bright lights. Here's a pic with normal but fading daylight. I already managed to use the camera to back the deck in between the mailbox post and an adjacent utility pole.

I bet the camera is nice for mowing.

Picture looks good chim, very acceptable.
I'm glad you guys are finally seeing the value of a backup camera. Thanks to BUILLTT showing there is another way with this thread. A low cost way, Still hard to believe the 28.00 price of that monitor. If you have a cab you're missing out if you don have a camera.

I have an older backup camera not made anymore and not the best quality for this day and time, but one thing I like and why I bought it for my b3030 back in 2008 It's a 2002 camera and I found it again on ebay for my 3240 last year. What I like about it is the ability to adjust the lines to the width of my tires and project the lines out eight feet, blue line 8ft, yellow 6ft, red line 2ft. but you can adjust anyway you want. There is a chart you layout behind the tractor to adjust the lines. Or you can just mark out the distance.

When the line is the width of the tires it gives you a look of where your tires will be between two poles or something. As shown in this video the width of my cut in the snow you can also see it your going off track.

I gave up a little bit of quality on the camera but I really like the use of the lines. The rear camera also has 4 adjustable views, One looks just straight down to your tires as if your hooking up an implement, other, a wide angle without lines and the view you see here with and without the lines.
I made a video this past winter to show the value of using the backup camera versus your mirrors when your in the snow and rain.
Its best to watch in FULL screen. at 1080p

I think the lines are built into the camera.

I like how the lines are adjustable on yours and you have 4 different views.

It sounds like you are hooked up now. Backup cameras are great for hooking up to trailers.

You got a good deal, like you said the cameras are worth that. The 9 inch monitor is supposed to be pretty good, I think you will be happy.

Well I got the AgCam hooked up today and the monitor is poor at best. There is a nice feature set, split screens, add lines, toggle between cameras etc, but the resolution on the monitor really stinks. If I had paid $1600 I would be furious, now I'm just pissed. The 9" is probably WORSE than the 7", same resolution with a larger screen. Don't waste your money on the AgCam monitor like I did.

Roger, thanks for this thread. Looks like you've started a run on that Amazon monitor link. I just ordered mine and the camera, and now they're showing only two monitors left.

I'm going to hold off ordering a mounting system for now. Are you still happy with your windshield suction mount? I'm wondering how secure it will be over the long haul, since I'm not likely to remove and reattach it from time to time as I might with an automobile GPS mount. Eric's idea of mounting with a bar mount on the hand rail seems pretty secure. Looking forward to hearing how that turns out.

Disappointing I know. That much money for a low quality monitor. You can adjust the setting, color, sharpness, contrast etc. The problem I had with the 7 inch monitor is when you adjust it for a good picture, then the picture shakes. Called AgCam they don't care sent me another doing the same thing.

No problem.

Yes, I am still happy with the mount. I probably have 12 hours on the setup. The suction cup itself is very sticky then it has a latch to draw it tight to the glass. I chose to mount the monitor on the dash so I glance straight down to see to behind me. The monitor comes with a mount but it would not work for my application. Ram mount has some nicer suction cup mounts. I'd be concerned about the vibration from slamming the door with the monitor mounted on the door handle.

Roger;

Ordered monitor and camera from Amazon this morning. Since monitor has two inputs will mount one camera on FEL for better view when using pallet forks, etc. 2nd camera will be used for rear view and like your idea of mounting it inside cab. Thanks for sharing this.

Waxman,

The $500 AgCam monitor has the same 480v resolution that Roger's $30 monitor has, but with a 500:1 contrast ratio. Seeing posted screen shots there seems to be little difference between the two to me.

Before sinking any more money into a good HD monitor like you purchased that has 1200v lines, does it give you a noticeably clearer picture with the AgCam cameras? They are only 540v resolution and I'm thinking until I could find a camera that could match that resolution of your monitor, I might wait.

Also did you have to do any splicing to make the AgCam cameras work with the new monitor? Thanks!

Great thread.
