If the JD, Kubota. Yanmar, Kioti, LS, Massey or what ever had Chinese parts. They would be built to strict specs and quality control.

Still didn't see how my now 12 year old tractor with close to 1000 hrs has treated me well, in fact I have treated it like a bulldozer for first 300+ hours. I've broken it and miss treated it & not given much thought to it as I can buy parts CHEAP and I have only a bit more than a Rider and less than a 4x4 Rider costs! SO I have 3 cyl 28 HP PTO, FEL, Back Hoe, Roto-Tiller, 5' Finish Mower, all NEW for less than 8K. I imported with a 20' container full and sold 3 other tractors FELS and Back Hoes, came out with my tractor almost paid for...

I can say you ARE MISTAKEN when you talk down to these machines & you probably NEVER used one...

Finally got some time to work on this between traveling for work.

Replaced the key, regulator, pull to stop switch, inspected the fuses, and did some general cleaning and sorting

I think i ordered a few wrong parts from Tommy unfortunately. The pull to stop cable is too short. And i got the wrong fusebox from jmparts (50% off sale there! sorry tommy)

Mismatched fuse box... boo. 6 slots in the old one rather than 5 in the new. Looks like the old is a BX202 vs the new BX505. Thats my own fault.

All in all, ive got 2 clearly blown fuses, a 6A, and a 13A

Gotta find someplace to get replacement fuses, havent seen this type before, and see if she'll fire up. If not, its time to dig into the tangle of wires and start ohming things out to see if ive got cut wires

Why not install a more modern fuse block that accepts standard fuses ?

Thats what I was just going to say, this is what I did to my 204 when I added the extra lights and rewired the ignition switch and glow plug circuit. It's for accessories but you could just as easily use it for the main circuit

The wire wrapped at the top of the fuse is your spare replacement fuse, take the 2- prongs that go into the slot, turn then 90 degrees, re wrap the wire from the top down low . I heard 1- wire wrap was 10 amp, 2- wraps 20 amp, 3-wraps 30 amp. You can also replace that wire it piano wire ( they sell it in small rolls). Send back the pull to stop cable and we have a longer one also that used on the 354 tractors. Call the shop with the measurement. Don't try to send back the fuse box to JM parts they don't take returns. Sometimes a deal is not a deal !!!!!

Modern fuse box sounds like a good idea.

This should be a drop in replacement i think

There are more complex ones with common negative and positive buses, but i dont think i need that.

have to register to buy from J&N but they are good people bought a LOT of stuff thru them when I was engineer for off road equipment co.

A few extra blocks wouldnt be a bad idea.

Id rather not have to put new ends on all the wires though to change them into blade terminals rather than ring terminals though, thats my only reservation. Its not a big deal to do it, but still.

As a solution for now per Tommy, i rewound the 13A (might be a 30amp.... that would make more sense fuse at the very top), and tried to do the blue 6A at the bottom. The top one rewound just fine, but the bottom is all corroded and frozen.

That said, I now have a working ignition and partial dash. My RPMs meter and hour meter still dont work, but i now can start it up with the key, have oil pressure monitoring, temp monitoring, and fuel monitoring. Everything is nicely in spec, which is good to see.

The Pollak 52-214-P Fuse Panel- Screw Terminals 12 from the second link looks promising. Screw terminals, 12 blocks for expansion.
