Yessir. Not "road" tax, but sales tax. And, like I said, sales tax is "per cent" not per gallon.You have to pay sales tax on off road diesel?
There shouldn't be any difference in quality of off-road and on-road diesel. The only difference that I can think of, is maybe the station where you buy it might be by-passing the filter on the off-road pump.Last time I looked there was a similar difference in price here. Combine the price increase and longer drive to get the off road, I just use on road now. Plus my toys seem to run better fed on road fuel vs the off road I was getting.
I have my fuel delivered in bulk and I have good filters/water separators on both of my pumps. The filter units have a glass bowl on bottom, so I instantly know if there is any water present.
