For now, but it won't stop there. It's only the beginning of downsizing. I would expect to see a 2.3L I4 EcoBoost in the F150 in less than 5 years, even if it is only in a regular cab short bed.

That will be the one in the fuel economy tests.

Won't be long until they can take a v twin engine and put the boost at 150 PSI and 12,000 rpm's and it will have 300 hp and power a pickup. Technology is pretty amazing.

Hmmm, that would be interesting to see. With the little 1L 3 cylinder EB that they have, the possibilities seem endless. Who knows, with stricter emissions regs on diesels, you never know, gassers may make a comeback in tractors.

i drive a ford 2013 f150 v6 that is a company truck, no matter what i do it gets 13.1 mpg. I own a 2007 gmc v-max 6.0 4x4 crew cab, i have 33" tires, 4 inch lift, cold air intake, and flowmaster exhaust 15 mpg unloaded, 12 with a trailer.
my coworker just recived his new full size ford van with a v6, acording to him this tiny engine is gutless and wound up tight on the turnpike running 80mph.

nice commercial ford, i guess a un-informed newbi would jump all over that "real world tow test" lol

The 3.5 V6 Eco or the 3.7 V6? Most companies (mine anyway) opt for the 3.7 V6 which is a bored out 3.5 but non turbo.

I assume that he has the Transit as the E series vans are not available with a V6.
Which V6 does he have? The 3.5L EcoBoost or the 3.7L Ti-VCT?
