What grease gun are you using??

my day to day gun is the legacy pistol grip gun from tractor supply(about $35) I actually have about three of them so theses always one around, but I keep an alemite handle pump 10,000psi unit (about $150) for stubborn/ neglected grease fitting that need some extra oomph. I like them both and

I run two air powered grease guns, one loaded with grease for the loader/back hoe, the other with regular grease. Both are cheap HF guns I paid $12 each about eight years ago and still working perfectly.

Have a Husky pneumatic gun and a Lucas manual gun. Just received two Lock N Lube couplers to install on the guns.

Also have a small manual gun, from TSC, that takes the small cartridges to get to hard to reach zerks.

I have gone with the Tractor Supply Legacy Mega Power 12v L1380 and added the Lock N Lube adapter. I can say I grease more, don't waste grease, makes greasing so easy that I am on top of keeping everything greased. :thumbsup:

I have a small grease gun too, and it can be handy when you are crawling around under a vehicle in limited space, but did you see my thread on an addition to your LockNlube arsenal? This right angle adaptor is very useful.

Yes, I did see your thread on the right angle adapter. I think they have them at Tractor Supply and plan to pick one up.

The only zerks that give any problems are the ones on PTO shaft U joints. They are angled but, the guard is in the way. This is where I use my small gun. May be no problem now I have the Lock N Lube.

I realize this THREAD is a couple months old but (there's always one of those), I bought a small grease gun that has a multi purpose "SD (I think it said) 3oz tube of grease with it from my Deere dealer for $12.95 with the intent of greasing the zerts on the riding Deere 48" cut mower. We'd only used the mower a few times due to drought so it's yet to need greasing. SO, the question is: Will this gun and grease be sufficient for my first go on hitting all the zerts on my CK30? Finally reached that hour point where I best start making sure everything is properly greased. Yes, I will get more cartridges, probably next week, but I'm thinking I'll be good to go for the first "greasing the beast" adventure.

The small guns can be handy of newer stuff requiring little grease but I do not use ours due to grease cost.

I refill the small tubes with my large grease gun. I just put the gun tip of the large gun into the empty tube inside the grease gun and pump away. I mainly use the gun for greasing the chain saw bar but sometimes it's nice to have something compact.
