Rear suspension air bags (air lift or firestone) ??

For what its worth the Gabriel hyjackers come with a tee. I can see the added benefit of individual fill ports though.

I have the tee set up in my 1996 ranger since 2004ish. No problems at all but I don't go blazing on off ramps with weird tall heavy loads.

My thoughts If you have a "odd" load you need to remember your not at Daytona. But, I have tried both ways and in my opinion both work just fine.
I'm just wondering why anyone would add bags and NOT install a compressor! Who carries a hand pump with them? Funny thread though

Had a customer of mine stop by yesterday. He has a 2007 Regular Cab 6.0 V8 2500 Chevy. This weekend they went camping with their new slide in camper. He said it was awful driving when he purchased the camper a month ago so he had air bags installed and it's no better. Says it's very unstable and a white knuckle experience.

I looked under the truck and guess what? Yep, a Tee. No wonder he had so much roll and no gained stability.

He's heading back today to get it set up properly.

Had a customer of mine stop by yesterday. He has a 2007 Regular Cab 6.0 V8 2500 Chevy. This weekend they went camping with their new slide in camper. He said it was awful driving when he purchased the camper a month ago so he had air bags installed and it's no better. Says it's very unstable and a white knuckle experience. I looked under the truck and guess what? Yep, a Tee. No wonder he had so much roll and no gained stability. He's heading back today to get it set up properly. Chris

He probably needs a sway bar more than anything. They do wonders when you put them on RVs.

Most 3/4 and up truck that I see already have front and rear sway bars... the 4x4's anyway.

I have only seen a factory installed rear sway bar on the Ford F250. Never seen one on a GM or Chrysler 3/4 ton. I know that many 1 ton and up chassis cab trucks come with a beefy rear sway bar.

My airbags are not huge. I use a small bike pump to add air in about 5 mins, the pump lives in the rear cubby. No need for the added cost and work of installing a compressor. Maybe if I changed the pressure constantly.

Jeesh, I would imagine that T would make the roll quite a bit worse. He should gain quite a bit removing that T.

Well I am more confused now than ever to tee them together or not?Gonna install the firestone bags this weekend.I guess I will flip a coin to tee or not to tee.
