there is 2 draw bars, 1 draw bar is just a bar that goes between the ends of the 2 lower lift arms, the other draw bar, is a swinging draw bar. it connects up under the tractor, and most likely a metal frame work that bolts up around the PTO shaft as well.
the swinging draw bar. is what i am use to. normally a couple pins hold the swinging draw bar in a give position, and you either put a regular ball hitch into the end, or drop a wagon hitch on it, and drop a pin through the holes.
it keeps the connection point low on tractor. it keeps things from moving up/down on ya. there is no need for extra chains / straps / bars, heck even some riding lawn mowers have a hole in the bumper to accept a ball for a trailer.

3 pt -> quick hitch -> multi / universal trailer hitch adapter.... puts load out further behind tractor, and it does not take much for the 3pt hitch to move up on its own. if you do not have any sort of stay straps in place to keep the 3pt hitch from moving. result, ya flurting with uth oh moment!
i can understand folks wanting a simple tool to move a trailer or like over a few feet or to better park something (say for mowing / weed eating / trimming), and not wanting to jack around with the jack, and getting things lined up, but for me, wanting to drag a trailer or wagon, behind the tractor while out and about on a project... i would rather choose the swinging draw bar like connection.
