Hen house, too funny. I built that shed in 1990 it lasted pretty good considering the weather here.

Taxes in Hooterville, that's another story. Northern VT where the liberals rule unfortunately. Notice the foliage is at peak, 2 weeks early this year. One of the nicest Summers I can ever remember here, just enough rain so the crops grew and not super hot.

Regards, Fred Turbo still working perfectly no issues just about 200 hrs. Been thinking about a gauge pack or some console to check my temps then crank some more boost into her.

The weather is colder now, mornings in the 30s. My tractor is back to not starting.

Then when I plug it in the ground fault breaker pops, gee I wonder why. Look at the faulty block heater.

Those are from last Winter.

This morning I tore the dash apart to check for power to the relay. Everything looks good except the relay. Anyone care to guess why the glowplugs won't work? Kind of a sideways picture it's a hard spot to get a straight on view.

The radio does not work at all now. I beat it to death.

Morning Fred..... Well, put on your big boy pants and make it better than factory... You are probably only $100 from having a "better than new" rig......

Stay tuned.... More "How to fix it" stuff from "The Fred"...

Kubota installed 2 relays with the wrong part number. The glow plug relay wouldn't make a connection. Makes me wonder how many others are out there like this.
32 degrees this morning and she fired right up, about time.

I used 2 relays from a Volvo. Half the price of the Kubota relay. The correct relay has much larger terminals on the power side.

Regards, Fred

Same thing happened to my L3540.

We had a unusually cold winter last year and anything under 40 degrees I noticed the engine cranked longer before starting. After troubleshooting I finally took it to the dealer under warranty.

Found the relay wasn't getting power to the glow plugs. Which means I went through the entire first winter without glow plugs.

So, since you tractor hasn't started worth a darn anytime it got cold since day one, I am assuming you got it fixed now..and now that you added several horsepower with the turbo, I assume you are happier with that, and if you get that dang corroded leaky block heater replaced... Am I thinking your next thread will be something like " I now LOVE my tractor!":D
