VT.....If you know all of this already and you have your daughter's mind made up, why ask????............Surely am glad I live in a totally different part of Georgia where I am safely away from the "know it all" folks that come here to "carpetbag", tell everyone how everything was so much better where they came from, make fun of how stupid the native folks are, and get angry when folks don't try to change the way things are done here to the way it is done "back home"..............
Pretty much the only time I come across this mindset is when I stop at the truckstop for gas over on I-75 and encounter folks who don't know how to say thank you when you hold the door open for them, won't give you eye contact, have no idea how to say hello, and think you are a bit slow in the mind if you try to describe how to avoid Atlanta traffic............
I really hope that your daughter finds herself happy in and around Atlanta. Obviously ignored is the advice about the traffic and commuting from place to place. Really, I would point her to finding an apartment type situation in "Buckhead" or Mid-town. Yes, she will pay in the $1000 to $1500 a month range, but she will have mass trans, great shopping, folks like her that are transplants, security from the natives that really will take everything she has, slow or fast night life, excellent eateries, and a place to get her feet on the ground til she is acclimated and finds what she really wants to do...........
