Replacing Rear PTO Shaft - BX24

Sorry for the long delay in replies, but I've been out of the country for the last month with very limited access to this site. I don't have the time right now to post a detailed description of the repair, but can say it was extremely EASY to do once I realized how the other end of the lower shaft fit into the cover on the other side. Long story short, I used a long, large flat bladed screwdriver to lift the shaft and maneuver it into position to seat the bearing on the other end. Once I got it aligned it pushed it very easily. Oh yea, you have to put the PTO in "mid only" so the lower shaft can move freely.

No gasket for those that asked. I'll have to check which sealer I used. Got it at AutoZone.

Glad you got it fixed. Good to know, but hope I never have to open that cover on my BX25. Thanks for following up with a synopsis of the solution.
