A pipe plug; has a square head and pipe threads, probably about 50 cents. Measure the diameter before you go to the hardware store. The named size of pipe threads is not the actual diameter. This is a stock item in the plumbing dept. most anywhere. Could use a bit of teflon tape on it but don't really need to.

Perfect, I will head to the hardware store later today and report back. Thanks!!

Update! I went to the hardware store to see what I could find. I didn't have a good way of measureing the hole size so I took something that looked about the right size with me. The Pipe plugs were all too big so i ended up getting some metric bolts, and they worked. The pic below shows the bolts screwed in. Thanks for everyone's help!

Did they have 1/8" pipe plugs? I'm concerned your metric bolt is straight threaded (like any bolt) and isn't tightened like a tapered pipe thread, but rather is binding and cross threading after being partially threaded in.

what size metric bolt did you get to go in. that will give us some idea of hole size.

I didn't see what they had, but the guy helping me said there is no pipe plug as small as i was asking. When I measured the size, it looked to be an 1/8". I will go to a larger hardware store today and look for myself.

I really think its 1/8". The guy just grabbed some bolts for me to try out so I don't know exactly what size i used. When I measured, it looked to be about an 1/8". I know thats not a metric measurement but thats what it looked like from my tape measure.

Hmm.. If nothing else fits, and it threads in good I guess id slip an orig over the bolt shank and put back in, does the boss look like it is relieved for an oring seat?
