Very nice , sure is better than being out in the cold.

It sure does and since I end up blowing our township road more often than not it will be even better.

Enjoy the 6 ft tiller, just finished my fall garden tilling with my NH 72" tiller, the HST on the DK 45 works great for the tiller.

I had a 48" on my MF that I really liked. Our garden isn't huge but it's a decent size. 40'x160'.

Tractor isn't done yet but I went out today and picked up a few things for it. A Lorenz 72" blower, the KK 72" box blade I had on hold and a SpeeCo Cat1 quick hitch.

Congratulations! Did you get much snow with this week's storm? Bet you're wishing you had that bad boy already.

BTW, you say you blow your township's road. Do you have commercial insurance, or at least an inland marine policy to cover you when operating away from your own property? If not, have you checked to make sure the township's insurance will cover you for liability and property damage or loss when you're doing it? Apart from liability, it would be a darn shame to damage that new tractor and not have coverage.

We got about 4" but it's been blowing pretty good so we're getting drifts. As for insurance, it's covered under the farm. I think it would be the same as driving any one of the other tractors down the road.

Might want to check your policy, or give your insurance agent a call on this, though. There's a lot at stake. To my knowledge, most farm policies cover the tractor operating on a public road only while "engaged in normal farm operations," e.g. driving short distances to get to another field; maybe driving for a short distance to refuel. Blowing/plowing snow for the township, whether under contract or as a nice guy volunteering, would seem to be outside of that. :scratchchin:

I'd be blowing snow so I can get feed for our animals home. I'm not worried about it.

Eric, It's used. I bought it from a guy in southern MN that'd had it for a few years. He only used it once and now goes south for the winter. He bought it from an older gentleman that used in for his driveway. The first owner painted it orange to match his Allis Chalmers. It appears to be in very good condition as nothing is bent up or broken. The cutting edge still looks brand new.

I finally had some time to go and pick up the tiller yesterday. And since the new tractor isn't ready yet, I had to use the trusty old M.

Sounds like a sweet deal. I've had my nose to the grindstone trying to find a good, used 78" or 84" snow blower in MN, WI, and the Dakota Territory.
