You bet...plus, I think equipment is more likely to be stolen then a car or truck. A lot less easy to trace stolen equipment too.

Ongoing work in limbo. hahaha... started it in 1985. What put it on hold??? College, married, house, 20 acres, child, parents pass away, 2nd house, another child, careers, Catholic grade schools for 2 kids, 2008 economy tank, Catholic high school for 2 kids, college for two kids, carreers.... well, just like most folks, we keep changing priorities. I've been acquiring the parts over the last 30 years. Have a steel body, extra firewall, two sets of doors, two hard tops, half cab soft top, fiberglass body, straight six Chevy 230 in it now, 350 chevy in a donor truck in the back yard. Deciding between leaving the factory 3sp manual or putting in the chevy 700r from the donor truck.... been gathering parts for 30 years. hahaha. If I wait 10 more years it could be a retirement project! :laughing:

Ah Moss...you're making me miss my stretched wheelbase '71. 350 power with an SM420, onboard welder and air, locked up front and rear with 5.29 gears and a one ton FJ60 rear axle. I sold it a few years ago.

I see the filter for the onboard air, there in that 3rd picture. I'm making one for my Suburban our of a York compressor. I'll run it from a belt off the alternator.

Thank you. It's a lot of fun to take them to car shows and talk to folks whose "Dad had one just like it". Old cars are a PITA, but you can't beat Harley Earl for styling.

I have a 1970 Chevelle Malibu with a 300 hp 327 that is in the restoration process. Also, in a different garage with a/c, a 1970 Corvette 350/350hp, 4 spd with air. It has 36k miles and was handed down to me by my father when I graduated college. He is the original owner. For some unknown reason, the engine was down on compression in a couple cylinders in 1978. He had it rebuilt and slipped a performance cam in it with around .500 lift, 292 duration. Sounds real nice with the 11.1 compression. All other items are original but for tires and maintenance items.

Always loved the 72... had a 350 for awhile and it was a great car... traded it for a 72 Skylark Convertible... had the top down every chance I got and traded it for a 442 Convert that took too much gas for a daily driver...

Forgot to post a pic. Also I just sold in past couple years a 1955 Olds Super 88 and a 1929 Durant street rod. Olds was all original, Rod had a 360 Dodge crate motor and 727 auto.

My babies. Have to keep them in my shop since Sharn Jean took over the garage, but we have fun with them. The '59 has been in the family since new; it's an all original car with 57k miles. The '60 is somewhat original, but has a 350 ci w/a 4bbl and a 700R4.
