110v welder and the 3/8 bend test

Hey RoadHunter, got you machine back from SheildArc yet. I am interested in how well the Everlast does in a side by side test with your Miller 175 welder. I actually offered mine up for a trade on a chainsaw, (wanting boot of course), but I am leaning pretty heavy toward one of Power i-MIG 250P - MIG Welders | Everlast Generators machines as a replacment

my favorite...

"not a resistor; wire just does this"

Leave it to Dave for the funny pictures for any situation.

Come to think of it, not just funny ones... your really do have a picture for any topic.

I find that pictures are easier for passing along information than a lot of typing on my part - plus I like the funny ones and the ones with cute girls :D

Go for the standard 250. The pulse is single pulse and is manually setup and can be a headache to work, plus the fact that the 250P is out of stock. The pulse is fine, but most people think it's going to give them TIG welds. Not with a single pulse. It is designed to control heat and wicking, but not ripple formation

OK, then why not the PowerMTS 250S, mig, stick, tig, with ft pedal control. Its middle of the price points.

It's fine. But If you want to be able to use a full size roll, the best choice is still the i MIG 250. It has spot and stitch timers which are useful.

Mudd,

I"m right there with you. Welder is supposed to arrive Monday. I should have time to mess with it sometime next week or weekend. I am hoping the miller will show more power as it's a 220v welder that is advertised as a 175 amp machine. Strangely the rated output of the 2 machines is nearly identical. If that happens the 175 and it's spoolgun and controller are going to be sold and I'll be looking at something like what you have in mind.
