"How was breakage accomplished" . I intend to avoid torturing myself trying to fabricate a 755 subframe or buy the one Woods makes for the 790 and doing a nasty cut and fit job. Any other comments on the amt of abuse a 755 can take w a 3pt BH would be welcome, and please answer Q re the stabilizer link chain. Thx again Gus
If you have a woods backhoe you can make a clean cut and weld of the woods subframe for a JD 855 and it will be a professional looking job and will ensure that the 755 wont develop problems. The rear of the subframe will fit the 755 perfectly and any woods backhoe will bolt right to it. According to woods even the newer curved boom ones will still bolt to that old subframe. I cant verify this as mine is very old and was new about the same time the JD755 was new.
The stress from aggressive digging will do more damage to the 755 without the subframe than the explanation you got from your dealer about going too fast threw the field. The actual weakest link is the weight limit on the rear axels in his scenario not the frame! Which by the way it does have a frame under it. Just get under it and look.
