I was always a open station guy to didn't think he had to be practical for my uses. Happened a crossed a deal on one for my tractor. Was too good to pass up so I bought it apprehensively. I even kept the pallet it came on so I could take it on and off. Now that I have it there is no way I'm taking it off.

When people add cabs, do you add heat too? How? I've always wondered what people do. I imagine some tractors come plumbed/wired for heat/ac. But what about the others? A cab would be useful for snowblowing- just to keep the snow picked up by the wind off you. Are people just adding cabs w/o heat etc.?

A cab would be so nice, but, unfortunately, I have to lower the ROPS to get in my garage and it seems most of the cabs use the ROPS. :(

I finally upgraded this year. After 8 yr's of snow in the face, frozen hands, and looking like a giant snow cone, I have a Cab. Open Stations SUCK!! for snow removal work at all. I even took a coffee with me to snow blow... A Hot Coffee, can you imagine!!

I kinda think I have the best of both worlds - Curtis Cab (another Craigslist steal - although took 5 years to find it) - open station for the summer (for when I am in the woods) and cozy cozy allllll winter. Takes me maybe 30 minutes to take off / on. Just sayin.

The Curtis cab is probably the best aftermarket cab out there. Yes. you can build your own cab but these Curtis ones look the best and usually look like they "belong" on the tractor.

I haven't added heat yet but will when I get a chance. For me, I will T into a radiator hose and put a small heater with blower in the cab. But it helped immensely just closing it in to keep wind and snow off me

I had a curtis cab on my older "94" 855 and never had a problem. When I was able to order a new tractor I wanted a cab. Unfortunately the John Deere 2032 does not come with a factory cab so I went with a new Curtis. Just delivered 2 weeks ago, I went out to the tractor after rain last week and the inside was very wet, traced the water and leaks around both hard side door windows and the rear window. Also have no power to rear lights and Aux. switch on the switch panel / fuse block. Dealer was going to contact curtis but not hear back yet. My luck a lemon or quality not there.

I always figure if I can go snowmobiling in it, I can use an open station tractor to plow. Did I mention the snowmobile is for sale. Put a plow on the old farm truck use the tractor to blow the lane wider whne the sun comes out.
