Hmmm- - - I use a convenient chunk of firewood.

But if you don't always set the implement down in the same place, and if you don't have that perfect size piece of firewood every where, then you are walking to find the right height stand.

I have 5 different locations that I drop my implements, while I get by with the stands that I have, I would prefer to have the adjustable unit that I linked to.

Just my :2cents:

I made one for my scraper blade by copying the one that was factory installed on my 6' rock rake. I found a 1" bar that fit nicely in a short piece of pipe. I wouldn't be without one now. They have one serious flaw though. Some guys (not me! ) forget to raise the stand up and bend them up real fast. :ashamed: Painting them a bright color helps. Uh! So I've heard.

Did you see what some of the other guys did on that thread I just posted.. They made them so they will pivot backwards if you forget and that way they are not wadded up!

Yes, I saw that. Thanks. I use the scraper all winter for snow and the stand is UP. I'll be okay for now.

So what happens when you are in a hurry and don't set it up quite straight and your boys are playing on the blade as boys do and it falls over. I'm not saying it's going to happen but it's something to think about.

We put one on ours, similar to Short Kid, but went a step farther & put a fel quick attach on top so we can connect it to the fel & look forward, as well as adjust tilt, if the blade is angled.

I used a piece of galvanized 2" square tube from Unistrut that is normally used for road signs around here. There are through holes on both faces. I just made a foot for the end. Welded a short piece of the mating size to the front of the blade frame. The also have pins that just rotate 90 deg and remove. The 8' blade makes a triangle with the stand and is very stable.

my vote is for a trailer jack, that you can crank up/down. more so if your implements set on rock/dirt. if they set on concrete/paved driveway, that most likely cheap little bar with a pin would work good enough. but in rock/dirt everything loves to settle / sink at odd doings. and the jack is there to help align things up some.

pats easy hitch goes pretty far, but you still need to line stuff up within reason. telescopic lower lift arms or a quick attach. can be a bit more forgiving some what in how you backup tractor and connect to 3pt hitch stuff.
