There are a lot of variables. And there are also a lot of operator preferences. I won't claim to be a master. The masters I've talked to claim to like the hoe operations on individual sticks for accuracy. Also claim to not like the treadles for swing. Joysticks are a bit sloppier and not as accurate, but tend to be faster. Don't hafta worry about controlling two sticks in one hand or moving hand from one lever to another. When it comes to delicate work, individual sticks seem to be more accurate. Understandable when compared to joysticks which might have linkage slack that translates to bucket slop.
