Takin it to the MAX

Of course it's silly and nuts, which is why it's awesome! Can't wait to see the finished result. My only practical concern would be scratches, since it's impossible to use a tractor without wear and tear.

Would not surprise me in the least if he epoxy clear coats the thing.

you blew it. The grill should have been chromed, as well as all the wheels, and ROPS.

Why not go all the way with this project.

Paint has a ton of clear on it, in fact I buried the "Mahindra Max HST 25" decal in the clear coat. I expect some rash, at least I can sand and polish it if I want. Not really any different than scratching the red to me. This is not a show tractor, so chroming the crankshaft will not be done. Most of my mods have a function for me, comfort, operation, and more importantly visibility issues have been addressed. If I choose to make it look a little badass just for fun hey, it' my tractor. So, here we go, I decaled my side panels this morning and put the front end back together. Added some scoops as well to mean it up a little more, looks a little funny with a red ***... Lol. I think it came out good.

That's the spirit !! I can appreciate the seriousness of the tractoring community, and maybe this build thread can be entertaining from a "what if" point of view...

Paint work looks awesome. You just have to paint the rear fenders now. ;)

Thanks, nothing is perfect but it came out really decent. First I have to strip the back, then I'll start to prep the pieces. My garage is a little full so I couldn't strip the whole tractor at once, there's like 23 pieces to do, including loader and backhoe.

I spent part of the day stripping Max's other parts to paint. Here's some naked pics...

I am really surprised no one asked about my switch labelled "Traction". I found a better switch labelled " Rear Diff Lock" to replace it. That sort of gives it away but I intend to use a 300# linear actuator to replace my manual diff lock pedal. Think of it like an electronic Diff Lock, I hope it works like I imagined it would. Pic shows the actuating rod I intend to replace...

Didn't notice until you said it. Had I not known what your intention was for it, I do not think it would of been too outside (now knowing you) to consider you rigged up some type of solenoid for 4wd activation.
