Forgive me welding gods, for I have sinned

200-amps is a good basic Mig welder to have. I ran this weld at 224-amps, 29-volts. With Lincoln's
.030" L-56 Mig wire. You're not going to see that kind of penetration with a 120-volt Mig welder.

Shield Arc, that's one picture perfect weld you did with that Lincoln.
It's no wonder that it took 20+ hammer blows (if I remember right) to break one of those, when you did those hammer tests a couple years ago.

Re: rankrank1

Well, I pulled out my unused roll of Hobart E71T-11 from off the shelf and it doesn't say AC or DC. :confused3:
So I would say to those using it on AC, if it works for you and you're happy with it, then happy welding. :)
If you look on the Hobart site, it looks to be listed as either SelfShield11 (for 0.045” and 1/16” wiresizes) or Fabshield21B (for the 0.030”, 0.035”, 0.045”, 1/16”, 0.068 and 5/64” wiresizes).
The datasheets for both of them say "Direct Current Electrode Negative (DCEN)" under "Type of current"

Yeah, like I've said before. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR POWER!
