It's no wonder that it took 20+ hammer blows (if I remember right) to break one of those, when you did those hammer tests a couple years ago.

If you look on the Hobart site, it looks to be listed as either SelfShield11 (for 0.045” and 1/16” wiresizes) or Fabshield21B (for the 0.030”, 0.035”, 0.045”, 1/16”, 0.068 and 5/64” wiresizes).Well, I pulled out my unused roll of Hobart E71T-11 from off the shelf and it doesn't say AC or DC. :confused3:
So I would say to those using it on AC, if it works for you and you're happy with it, then happy welding.
