Thankfully the hydraulic fluid never moves!
Well then it must be fuel going into the oil.
Does your tractor have a mechanical fuel pump, the seal could be gone on it, if it does.
Oil and diesel fuel have a different smell, try doing a smell test on both and you'll see,,
then, smell your oil, you should be able to tell.
Rebuilding an injection pump on your own is not advisable, and almost nearly impossible to find a detailed way of doing it, these are well kept secrets for a reason.
