more water, a banana a day and getting off statins made my debilitating leg cramps go away. So bad in the middle of the night I'd wake up in agony and have to jump in the shower on full hot water to get the muscles to relax.
Interesting ... yeah ... agony is a good way to describe it.

Hafta remember to try the hot shower thing if/when it happens again.

Even if you have to get up and pee a few more times in the night, that extra water might help. Do you have a bottle of water you drink regularly while in the shop? Or do you get so focused on the task you forget....
Usually I have a cup of coffee up there.

If I take something to eat up, I'll usually take juice - either Cran-something or grape juice.

drinking water really helps me lose weight too. Not sure why. Probably by feeling full and not putting something else in my mouth.
Makes sense.

Hope those cramps go away for you RS quickly.
Thanks Drew ... I hope they do too.

Good morning to everyone. Overcast and 50 here. Looking for the rain to start anytime now.
Supposed to continue raining through tomorrow. Off to the big city to get new eyeglasses, and hit a flooring outlet to get some ideas for the new house. Lots of "fun." But these things need to be a done.

10F, still a few light flurries in the air. Windy enough to make snow devils. I have some drifting to clean up later but waiting won't make much difference for wind and temperature. Good day for a cabbed tractor but it's too cold to go look at them. :D Looking plenty chilly through Tuesday.

Thomas, keep that cold air on your side of the hills please.

So it is bitterly cold outside, a crisp clear 15 earlier, up to 18 now. And pretty frigid inside too it seems, No the furnace is fine, and the wood stove is doing great... No the problem seems to be coming from rebellious teen girls who no longer feel their father has a right to ask them to do anything... I had a full scale mutiny last night just because I tried to introduce hem to Karaoke via a borrowed karaoke machine & disks... You'd have thought I was slitting throats in a drunken rage from the reaction. Thank God the 5 year old still loves me.

My wife's toxic brainwashing of these girls is a crime... My heart is so broken...

Be well all,
David

For you guys who go out in the really bad weather with an open tractor, how do you keep warm?

None of my gear is electric. The trousers are insulated, a flannel shirt, coat with a wool liner, either a Mad Bomber hat (normally during the day so I can wear ski goggles to reduce the glare) or a Filson Mackinaw cap with ear muffs. Heavy gloves and insulated boots.
Even with that gear, it's cold, but tolerable. And, take breaks as required.

But, as you guys know, I finally broke down and bought a cab tractor. Although it does have a heater, I doubt a Curtis Cab is as well integrated or as well insulated as a factory cab. The heater takes the "bitter" out of "bitter cold" though.

I had those pains also. I drink a lot more water, and watch what I eat.

I stay inside until I feel up to it. Or not....

It's about 4 degrees right now...a clear cold day ahead of us. The high is going to be 9 degrees. I notice in the weekly forecast that there are a lot of minus signs in front of the low temperatures.
Plans today are pretty simple. A little shopping this morning, then read the manuals for the 4520 and 400cx loader.

Good morning everyone, 9F here this morning, heading to a high of 31F. Taking wife shopping and then will probably see grandson play some playoff hockey tonight. Trying to get everything done today as they are predicting a snow storm for tomorrow with up to 5" of snow.

Roy, nice tractor :drink: I didn't think you'd go pink instead of green :D:rolleyes: Just watch the wife if she wants you to teach her how to run the back "digger thingy"

RS, need to drink more water, nothing wrong with coffee and juice but you do need at least 1/3 - 1/2 water in your fluid intake.

Cold weather gear: wool ski mask, ski bibs with lined jeans, fleece lined jacket from Alaska, heavy mittens, heavy wool socks, insulated boots, and don't sweat before going out.

Teenagers do not need anyone to agitate them. It may just the nature of them having to be somewhere other than where they want to be.

David, a friend told me that when they get to that age, you just put on a big pair of oven mitts as a parent and try to gently direct them in the correct way, but you have to let them make some mistakes to learn from them. He says they'll come back to dad in their early 20's. But he wasn't sure if they came back for love, money, or both. :) But he was glad they were back in his life and would take his advice.
