We have gotten about 8 feet of snow in the last month.

Everything is totally buried.

Worst winter in Mass. ever.

Super cold too,.
April first is coming. April first is coming. APRIL FIRST IS COMING!!

We got 10" Sunday night and supposed to get 2 more tonight. Not supposed to get above freezing until next weekend. Dividing time between ATV with front blade and Kubota with rear blade. Cleared our driveway and several elderly neighbor's. Tractor works well out in the open, atv does good on the sidewalks and tight places. Played in the snow enough, ready for spring.

Maryland has gotten about 2" all season, we would gladly take some from Boston if there willing to give it up!

Be careful what you wish for. I've been to Maryland and you are so not ready to deal with any snow except up on the West Virginia line. Vermont would just go "money to make plowing snow" ' come on up well healed skiers'. Boston is going. "help us out National Guard and FEMA" we can't pay the bill. Maryland with a foot of snow would go toes up and evacuate the now unlivable state.

Today I finally finished clearing my driveway and turn around area,:cool2: about 15,000 Sq ft in all. My little Kubota 20 hp with 52" meteor blower has really impressed me It took me a total of 8 hours of seat time in all, Used about 20 bucks worth of diesel at about 5 bucks per imp gallon, I did not need to use my cab heater today, enough heat off the engine to keep the cab warm. The tractor had enough power to clear the snow plow berm at the driveway entrance in low gear reverse and with the blower at 1100 RPM, without lugging the engine, at WOT. I like this little B7100D, despite all the shifting of gears and gear ranges. An HST would be good if I had another 5 hp. So would power steering. The way it is I get a lot of satisfaction out of the Co-ordination required to do this job.Aftr all was said and done I measured the total snow cover at five feet out I the open. That is a lotta snow. Gonna be a heck of a lotta water when it all melts. For sure we will have some record flooding around the St John river in Fredericton.

There are some snowbanks in my side yar which cover about 1800 sq ft to a depth of 6 feet (compacted) Good thing the ground is very porous here. Pure sharp sand to bedrock 40 feet down. Well is not gonna go dry, anyways. MY geothermal open loop needs 600 gallons per hour to heat or to cool the house, !4,000 gallons per day! That is a lotta water out of the artesian. Snow is money in the bank for me.:dance1::laughing:

Any Governor who does not call a state of emergency so he can request Assistance from neighboring states and the Feds is an idiot.

For example:
WASHINGTON, D.C. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that federal disaster aid has been made available to the State of Vermont to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area affected by a severe winter storm during the period of December 9-12, 2014.
Pot, meet Kettle.

Boston budgeted $18.5 million for snow removal this season and has spent $30 million. The city's bylaws require a balanced budget. The city has a General Fund of $785 million: the General Fund for the entire state of VT is $977 million. The city has yearly revenue of over $3 Billion (also about 80% of the entire state of VT revenue). So we'll be just fine, thank you.

I personally do not think the Federal Deficit should be increased by borrowing money to provide to States for snow removal. Why is it that the Federal Government is out of control until states start needing money? If anyone borrows the money let the State Borrow it.

According to the weather techies this abnormal weather is bing caused by, believe it or not, abnormally warm water in the Pacific ocean (El Nino effect) which influences the night polar jet stream, causing it to move far to the south, bringing very cold arctic air(the polar vortex) south down to a far as Florida, which mixes with warm moist air along the atlantic coast ad causing snow and the Nor east winds that move the snow in a counter-clockwise motion over New England and the Canadian maritime provinces.. ho hum in other words it really is global warming. The other good news is that it will be getting worse each year. Drought in the Mid west in summers, lousy winters in the east. More tornados in the southern central plains, more wildfires in California. Ocean water levels are rising by up to 30 Cm by 2030, Say good bye to Venice as we know it ditto a big part of India in the Gages Delta area.

More heat means more energy, means more storms, stronger storms, more hurricanes in the mid atlantic. Bye bye Oklahoma?

So they say. Atlantic Canadians are screwed, ditto Florida fruit farmers. Ditto the UK. Move to Argentina? Or Inland Texas?

Watch out for the Canadian Wetbacks? BTW my kubotra will not start...too darn cold, even with glow plugs. Battery charger and Coolant heater now plugged in.

Me, I am getting a little drunk tonight, it is my anniversary and my birthday. Screw the snow.Spring will come in about 3 months.... maybe!:pullinghair:

Well, that is exactly what is happening right now. The West is warm, too warm, particularly the NW. Mountain snow pack is minimal. The NE is slammed with snow and cold. Climate change is real.
