I put all the components together. To rig the inline filter, I'm going to need a couple nipples.

Now, I've got to figure how I'm going to fill the drum. The first filling will probably be using my 5 gallon cans over the course of a week.

It is legal to transport the filled drum, per federal law. Not sure about Vermont regs yet. Then I need to determine how I'll load and unload it. I don't have forks and really don't want to spend $700 for a QA set (but I am watch Craigslist). I'd rather lift the filled drum using a chain and bucket hooks. There are lifting tools that grab the drum (company named Wesco makes nice ones)...supposedly good for 1000 lbs.

In retrospect, I'd probably been better off getting a transfer tank for my F-150. But it has a 6.5 foot bed (crew cab) and I didn't want to lose any usable space in the bed.

Boy, it wasn't too cold today...about 25. Sure felt cold in the garage though!

Well usually it's oak and pine trees, manzanita, and poison oak, but some parts of the county have other green things that get planted:shocked::laughing:

yeah, I wouldn't have that conversation with them quite yet, they are too cute and adorable now.

busy day, very tuckered out. Got all my tree holes dug, jumped in and out of that cab dozens of times making sure my holes were lined up. Then back to Lowes to get six big bags of tree soil fertilized with something long acting, and that will be used to surround the ball. Some of the holes were pretty muddy and it's going to take some dry soil to get the trees planted. I have a pile of topsoil I'm going to try to get a bucket of without wrecking the lawn getting to it.

and since I promised my worker's food to take home tomorrow, the father of three goes home with the big chocolate cake and my teenage helper tomorrow goes home with a loaf of home made bread. Must have been hyperactive yeast in that box of bread machine mix; never saw it rise so high, like that funny puffy bread you get with traditional roast beef dinners.

The best mutton I've had was from the southwest desert of Iran. Fat-tailed sheep, tails not docked. Lord knows what they found to eat. A whole leg roasted over a wood fire. It didn't have a muttony taste.

The lamb was good too. Meat cubed from what would be a lamb chop I think, marinated in some lemon juice, grilled over charcoal on a kebab skewer with slices of onion, a bit of fat, cherry tomatoes. Served with a heaping plate of steaming rice with butter melted into it. Yum.

The best mutton I had was in Australia didn't taste like Mutton tasted more like beef roast nice and moist.It was a leg of Lamb.
