Txdon : Take it steady on your fishing trip. Rope around back legs with tractor staying on firm ground may be best approach.

Thanks Eric, I was wondering where the best place to tie was without tearing. I found out the cow was missing for 3 days, and only when it bloated did it come to the surface. This is not going to be a nice job. The water temp is in the 50s so decomposition is ongoing. Now I know why I'm not a cowboy.

Kxan TV Austin reported that a rattlesnake took down one of their weather radars. Everyone is looking for a warm spot.

Cloudy, cold, 34˚ - Is going back to bed an option?

22 this morning and headed to 39 today. Wind chill is 14. Radar says it's snowing but it's not. Picked up some grass seed yesterday just going to over seed some pastures. But must wait for snow to melt and firm or freeze up.

Rain forecast for tomorrow so I'm guessing it'll rain 15 days in March. Fine by me as we are still a little dry.

My F250 has some kind of baffle like that, too, Dave. I've been using a Harbor Freight transfer pump for the last four years, and made up an adapter to add a 3' section of 1/2" hose to the very end of the suction line. It usually takes a few pokes to get it past what ever it tries to catch on, but it always eventually makes it and the smaller line doesn't seem to slow the pump down any at all. I also replaced the electrical lead with a longer chunk of 14ga lamp cord and added a Velcro strap to keep it neat in storage. The pump didn't cost that much, and I'm pleased it's lasted this long, especially in light of the poor reputation of some of the HF stuff.

Diesel Transfer Pump - Save on this 12 Volt Transfer Pump

I poked, twisted and poked with a plastic tube no bigger than 1/2" OD; no luck. The baffle is in a good 16"-18" deep. Maybe something stiffer would give some control over the aim. My filler is a cab-chassis extension used to get to the outside of the 8' wide bed so it may be different than a std. fuel fill tube. It has a very low slope, I'm always amazed the fuel goes in without washing back.

A friend had Bell's Palsy years ago. Being a pretty lady she was very upset over the appearance issues. It did eventually and gradually go away but it took many months. IIRC her doctor told her to keep her face out of drafts like open car windows or AC vents. Don't know if that is still valid medical advice though. Hope you recover soon. Don't dribble the Guinness. :)

I had 2 friends with Belle's P. The gal took years to heal and still has some lingering facial nerve issues. The guy got it out of the blue, he was about 30 years old when he got it. Put a patch on 1 eye, and a number of weeks later, was pretty much over it entirely. Enough to re-join the military to be an MP.

Roy, you're gonna enjoy the pumping. I think I have the same pump as RNG.
My initial attempt was 2 55 gallon drums. I put I made mini pallets for them, put on my trailer for filling, used my forks to unload, then a chassis Jack to finesse into place - all in all something of a pain. And because I didn't want to build a full enclosure they most always had water on the tops from rain. Covered with an old BBQ cover but that was another pain. Fortunately, I had a 125 gallon Chemtainer that my friend returned after borrowing a few years for his water supply. I considered getting one of those framed plastic totes I see on CL, but no need after I got mine back. I use about 300+ gallons/yr between the tractors and Genset. A local guy has a 100gal delivery min. Think it was .50 more per gal.
Have fun

Good Morning. 1140, light rain, 48F with 93% humidity. Forecast high of 58F with 40% chance of rain, and a low of 47F

I had BP when I was in my early 30's. But it was a mild case and a course of antibiotics cleared it up in a couple of weeks. I had been camping on the river when I first noticed it, and it was pretty scary. I thought I might have had a stroke, but when I got back to town, Margie diagnosed it and the Doctor confirmed her diagnoses.

A long day of work here, with a late night party. I'm getting too old for these late nights. Sadly I have 8-13 years before I can think of retiring.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend,

Larro
