Brush hog where poison ivy is???

. . . I've never had issues with mowing it as long as I was my clothes and take shower right after.

I typically don't mow in the nude, so I'll probably be ok then.

. . . I did some hand spraying (backpack) last year and saw some improvement on the areas that I sprayed, but I need to spend DAYS and dollars this year doing that again....

I have found that the version of Roundup made for killing Poison Ivy works really well. I sprayed the p!ss out of mine last year. I checked it recently and it was all gone. Now, it was still dormant at the time, so I'll see how much of it comes back when spring arrives in Texas (soon).

Poison Ivy is so woody that it needs a brush killer (such as Roundup for Poison Ivy) rather than plain old Roundup.

Yes, shrinkage is a problem when it's cold.

My wife is very sensitive to poison ivy. In the spring after we moved here in the fall of 2011, she wanted to cut the brush in the woods behind the house. She used the 1996 TORO with the 6' side discharge deck, that we got in March of 2009.

Ended up at the Doctor's cause there was poison ivy in there. :thumbdown:

She wanted something with a cab, looked at several machines and she got the Toolcat. :thumbsup:

No more poison ivy using the brush hog.
