Very reasonably presented. Thanks for posting.
I've read that statins are now causing Alzheimer's, then in looking a little more closely it looks like we are just living longer, possibly due to statins, and increased Alzheimer's is just showing up with advanced age.

Statins, for some people (me for one) do have a very bad side effect, especially if the dose rate is high. I had the misfortune to have been prescribed the max dose of a statin for high cholesterol for six months.
The drug caused me to develop Rhabdomyelosis, which is a severe muscle disease causing progressive irreversible weakness of every muscle in my body. The Statin is to be avoided by anyone who suffers from diabetes. Rhabdo also causes severe kidney damage.

Accidental? Maybe, but she is the first to link the two I believe- so this is new. She presents her information coherently. My wife's nephew has autism.
Look at the incidence increase of autism- CDC says it is now 1 in 68. In 1984 it was one in 10,000. Something is messed up.

Here's proof that organic foods cause autism -- organic food sales have a higher correlation with the incidence of autism (0.9971) than does the application of glyphosate (0.985) . Therefore, organic foods should be banned.

Anyone that ever took a statistic course should have learned that correlation does not prove causation.

I lifted the image above from Oh, no! GMOs are going to make everyone autistic! – Respectful Insolence where I learned this.

Remember Stephanie Seneff? When last Orac discussed her, she had been caught dumpster diving into the VAERS database in order to torture the data to make it confess a link between aluminum adjuvants in vaccines and acetaminophen and You guessed it! Autism. It was a bad paper in a bad journal known as Entropy that I deconstructed in detail around two years ago. As I said at the time, I hadn't seen a review article that long and that badly done since the even more horrible article by Helen Ratajczak entitled Theoretical aspects of autism: Causes A review (which, not surprisingly, was cited approvingly by Seneff et al). Seneff, it turns out, is an MIT scientist, but she is not a scientist with any expertise in autism, epidemiology, or, for that matter, any relevant scientific discipline that would give her the background knowledge and skill set to take on analyzing the epidemiological literature regarding autism. Indeed, she is in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT,
<snip>
The bottom line is that the crank magnetism is strong in Dr. Seneff. She’s antivaccine and anti-GMO. She is full of Dunning-Kruger, thinking that she can transfer her computer science and artificial intelligence knowledge to knowledge of epidemiology, biochemistry, and medicine. She can’t.

Can this be serious...or just another duck quacking? My grandson is autistic, I have never heard of this. Round-up is banned in Canada BTW
:duck:

Does the ban apply to ag. use or just to homeowners?

I am not sure were you get your facts from, but round up is most certainly not banned in Canada. It is readily available.

A SLIGHT CORRECTION:
Roundup is available to bona fide farmers with a pesticide license, but is not available in stores for homeowner use for landscape use. Ditto some kinds of insect spray i.e nicotinoids which kills bees, nor is malathion available to homeowners. Canada Govt is kinda in front on Toxin controls, not a bad thing, IMO. My cousin farms miles of wheat in Saskatchewan and he buys Roundup concentrate by the 45 gal drum. He uses it for weed control on his farm margins. 2-4, D is also banned for homeowners use on lawns.
I think that 2-4 D is diethyldioxin (Agent Orange) of the water soluable type. The really bad one is Dibuytldioxin which is fat soluable, and therefore cumulative in human tissue, causing cancer.

Rotax is correct. Sort of. Round Up is banned for homeowners and not sold in gardening stores Big Agro can get it in quantity concentrate, with an agro license. I have made another post to correct my first one on Round Up.Thanks Rotax, out in Saskatchewan

There is an old saying that "Figures don't lie, but liars can figure". Data can be manipulated to fit most anyone's preconceived notion if they want it to. Just as SMSTONYPOINT showed that organic foods increased use is directly related to autism growth, so can just about any thing else that someone wishes to have banned based on their wants or beliefs.
I don't trust anything posted on the internet as being a WHOLE truth or even a half truth in most instances. Even our respected news anchors lie to make a story more interesting.

Saltwater brine kills poison ivy and is not a toxin like round up, which is just another form of agent orange/dioxin.

I know this is everyone's favorite herbicide and Monsanto's number 1 seller- but it is unhealthy. (click 301 below)

From Agent Orange - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chemically, Agent Orange is an approximately 1:1 mixture of two phenoxyl herbicides 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4,5-T) in iso-octyl ester form.[9]

Numerous studies have examined health effects linked to Agent Orange, its component compounds, and its manufacturing byproducts.[10]

In 1969 it was revealed to the public that the 2,4,5-T was contaminated with a dioxin, 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzodioxin (TCDD), and that the TCDD was causing many of the previously unexplained adverse health effects which were correlated with Agent Orange exposure.[11] TCDD has been described as "perhaps the most toxic molecule ever synthesized by man".(Galston 1979,[12] cited in[13]) Internal memoranda revealed that Monsanto (a major manufacturer of 2,4,5-T) had informed the U.S. government in 1952 that its 2,4,5-T was contaminated.[14] In the manufacture of 2,4,5-T, accidental overheating of the reaction mixture easily causes the product to condense into the toxic self-condensation product TCDD. At the time, precautions were not taken against this unintended side reaction, which caused also the Seveso disaster in Italy in 1976.

From Glyphosate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Glyphosate (N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine) is a broad-spectrum systemic herbicide used to kill weeds, especially annual broadleaf weeds and grasses known to compete with commercial crops grown around the globe. It was discovered to be a herbicide by Monsanto chemist John E. Franz in 1970.[3] Monsanto brought it to market in the 1970s under the trade name Roundup, and Monsanto's last commercially relevant United States patent expired in 2000

My training in chemistry is admittedly limited, consisting of one high school class and two semesters of freshman chemistry in college more than 45 years ago. So, please explain how glyphosate is another form of agent orange.

I did click on and read the supplied link. I then read "Debunking pseudo science lab testing health risk claims about glyphosate (Roundup)" at Glyphosate Breast Milk Health Risk Claims Debunked | Academics Review.

I have often wondered if autism was at all related to illegal drug use, paticuarly marijuana. You dont know what chemicals the weed you buy has been treated with.

I know there are probably non drug users that have autistic kids. And drug users that have normal kids. Maybe the occurence with drug users is higher?

But i wonder if it is chemicals or something?
