Re: BX 2370

dfran1, take a look at Rotella T6 synthetic diesel oil- helps with cold weather starts, does the job, and reasonably priced thru Walmart. Lots of us use Powerstroke white bottle diesel additive to prevent gelling, algae, etc. Of course, next winter will be very mild, now that you are ready! I worked hard to get our new L3400 all set up with its front plow, ballast box, chains, etc., and almost no snow to plow was the result.

Congratulations... you will absolutely love it. I personally would have only gone for a back blade vs. the ballast box but your set up will be sweet! Get a Piranha Tooth Bar for your bucket. You can always add wheel spacers anytime in quick order. Check out BXpanded.com and Bro-Tek for more goodies for your BX. Welcome to the club. Again, you will be wondering how you got along without one for so long!

Have them weld some hooks for chain onto your bucket and get a Mr. Funnel for your fuel.

Holy cow, 2 guys from Mass in the same thread. I'm in southeastern MA myself. I deal with Norfolk Power, but nothing bad with Goldstein's.

Re: BX 2370

Dfran,

The cart was just something I whipped up, I didn't really think about it too much. It works out sweet, I back up to the cart, drop the 3PH an then I can move the BB around the garage.

If I did it again, I'd probably use at least 2 locking casters as my driveway has a slight grade and I'm always worried about 400 lbs in a steel rolling down the driveway and into the side of my truck!

This is a lousy pic of the cart, I can send you a pic of the cart itself next time I load the BB onto the tractor.

You'll notice that I have the anti-Gravity machine running in the garage.

Tried several times to flip the pic but no success.

You get the idea!

Re: BX 2370

Thank You !!
I will build something just like yours and look for locking wheels.
Do you use that funnel I posted above with strainer/ filter??

Re: BX 2370

There is an ENTIRE thread on this forum JUST for fuel cans!!

I use a basic plastic can, it doesn't have GPS or touch screen display-I have to tip it until the fuel starts to flow and then tip it back to stop the flow. It's totally Manual.

FWIW I always wanted to meet the 3 Handed man who designed the fuel cans like the one you bought.

Happy Gilmore, there are several SE Mass guys here-Robert Barker is also from the area.
Cheers,
BN

Re: BX 2370

The Mr. Funnel is designed to filter out crude and water- the various sizes just determine how much you can pour into the funnel at once and how fast it will drain.
