how do I disable seat switch on Farmall 45A

First thing I did when I got my new Kioti was disable the seat switch. My mahindra doesn't have one, and it nothing but a pain to have the tractor shut off anytime you leave the seat. The setup kioti uses allowed me to simply stick a bushing over a bolt to hold the switch down. My uncle bought a Farmall 55A last year, but I've never looked at it that closely.

Found the problem, tractor died in the field. I took the switch out of the seat and it was working properly. Looked over the connection to the wiring harness and one of the terminals in the pig tail was pushed back almost completely out of the plastic connector. Hooked everything back up and pushed the loose connector into the plastic housing and it worked the rest of the day. I don't know why it came loose though.

On mine you just lift the seat and there is a male/female connector. Pull the connection apart, make a short jumper wire, and short the 2 lead cable going to the tractor.
Now you can run a chipper, or whatever without the safety hazard of an intermittent engine cut-out.
Took me a couple of days after buying mine to do this. Much, much better now.

Mine has 4 wires going to the switch

None of my tractors ever had a seat switch and I don't want one.
If my tractor did have a seat switch and I didn't like it. It would be disabled.

Interestingly my present DK35se does not have a seat switch. It does not have a clutch safety switch, as it does not have a clutch. It does have a range selector safety sensor so it will not start if the range selector is not on one of the two Neutral positions. It is a rather complicated sensor system as it is not a switch, but a potentiometer, and a module that reads a variable voltage from the pot and decides the position of the range selector lever. You are not going to use a jumper wire on this one!

But it is nice not to have the annoying seat switch. I used to hate it on my former Kubota. Every time I got up off of the seat to see the tips of my forks better going into a pallet, the engine would shut off. Every time I leaned over to see the edge of the bucket better, the engine shut off. I thought about disabling it but never did.
