I agree, in fact the new Massey loader has ~30% more capacity than mine, but they didn't increase the load capacity of the front axle. My comment was more that I just didn't want to spend the money to upgrade, and then find out I didn't get a big of enough upgrade. My wife is open to this whole thing, but I think I only get to do one upgrade!

AGCO/Massey wouldn't rate the loader higher than the front axle could handle... I'm sure they still built in a more than adequate safety margin. The front axle would be the least of my concerns, Iseki builds a tough tractor.

Good Morning Fiziksgeek,
How are the price comparisons between the B2620 and the B2650 ? I would think that may be a determining factor on which machine to buy.

Are you going out to the Kubota dealer on Rt 63 in Bethany, Ct ?

You also mentioned that the wife is on board, but this is the last time, my thought is that you ever decide to buy a larger piece of property that you may be happy you have a slightly larger tractor. The B2650 looks to only be about 2000 to 2200 lbs, not terrible in the weight department !

Good luck with your upgrade !

I probably wouldn't go with the B2620, but wait for B2601. I haven't gotten pricing on a B2601, and its not up on the Kubota website yet, but it should be similar to the Canadian pricing, ~$1250 price difference between B2601 and B2650.

My GC2400 is 1433 lbs, the B2601 is 1632 lbs , and the B2650 is 1786 lbs. If I went with the biggest model, that's ~350 lbs more...but much bigger tires...so maybe the actual PSI on the ground isn't much different. The mower are all about the same weight, and I typically drop the loader for mowing...not always, but usually, as it makes it much more difficult to maneuver around.

I don't think there is a Kubota dealer in Bethany, I think that's a Mahindra dealer. I went to R&S in New Milford, CT, they also have a location in Torrington, CT.

Bigger property probably not in the list in the next 20 years...not that I can really plan that far out, but the wifey doesn't not want to move again!

A BX or similar sized machine would probably be plenty for 1.5 acres, but it never hurts to think about going bigger. Especially if you have plans to expand.

Good Afternoon Fiziksgeek,
Yes the Mahindra dealer has been there for many years, I think its called New England Tractor. There is a new place across from the Bethany FD, not sure of the name of it, but did see some new Kubotas out front.

OK just did a search for Kubota in Bethany, nothing came up, sorry, they were set back from the road a bit, maybe another brand !

I have a Massey Ferguson GC2400....approximately equivalent to a BX2370. The thread is about my search for something bigger....how much bigger is the question!

I think there might be a Kioti dealer over that way....I'm not that familiar with that area though. But they are orange, and from the road, could easily be mistaken for Kubota!
